Only one left to go, and I've started it.

I did really like THE SMOKE THIEF a lot, once I got past that prologue.

I liked WANDERLUST, but at times it felt very episodic, like just a chain of one disaster after another, without a real story arc. THE SNOW QUEEN had an awful lot of characters to keep up with...but I enjoyed reading it too.

I have second sight on my reading list i was wondering if you liked it and would recommend reading it.

well, I just read a 10th book. :o) The Nymphos of Rocky Flats Its actually more UF than PNR, altho the vamp DID get the dryad. But it was made clear that theirs was only a temporary hook up. There were parts of it that were funny. Some were not, but I LOVED the over the top (and from Transylvania yet) vampire hunters--especially the one named Dragan. The hunters were definately the "monsters" in this book.

Anna, Second Sight is the first book in the Acrane Series. I listened to the audiobook and while it is set in the victorian age, I really did enjoy it. Just finished White Lies and getting ready to listen to The Third Circle.

Okay, so I changed my list a little bit. Just finished listening to Hitchhiker's.. laughed my behind off. Great book. Also just finished a creepy juvenile fiction book called May Bird and the Ever After... really creeped me out at the beginning, but it slowly grew on me. I think I may read the rest of that series eventually.

2. Pleasure Unbound - Larissa Ione **** This one took me a bit of time to get into. In the end though, I really liked it.
3. Coyote's Mate - Lora Leigh ***** I love Lora Leigh's Breeds, and this one was great, right out of the starting gate.
4. A Rush of Wings - Adrian Phoenix I really, really, really like this story. It's different, more intense, than most vampire novels I've read. Love Dante!

I'm so sorry I'm not as actively chatty this month. I'm having a hard time keeping up. I'm reading the posts, just usually as giant chunks. Today I had two pages of posts to read!!! Between getting my podcast up and running, working on the convention I'm on staff of that's next weekend, getting the garden in, finishing up costumes, homeschooling the boys, and reading... I'm just having a rough time keeping up with all things internet.

I'm thinking about all of you and the great books you are reading, though! Looks like people are reading away! 209 books for the month is AWESOME!!!!! WTG everyone!

I see lots of people reading books that I've loved in the past (like Uglies) as well as books that I've recently read or have on my TBR! That's great!

I'm struggling to finish this challenge. I think this month's is a great challenge, I'm just so stinking busy it is not funny. But I'm not giving up, I'm doing ok. I've finished five now! YAY I finished the 5th tonight and am about a third of the way through my 6th. I think I need to find three more quick reads like number six here. LOL

I loved Cry Wolf. The only thing I hated about it was that i was so busy that I'd pick it up to read at night and then fall asleep! It took me all week to finish it and that's just criminal. This is a book where you really don't want to do anything but read it. And here I had 7000 other things going on! I look forward to Briggs' next A&O book! I really like Briggs. She's created quite the world with a rich history.

I'm now reading a Broken Hearts, Oklahoma book - Don't Talk Back to Your Vampire. I love the fact that after about an hour of reading I'm a third of the way through. Since I'm so pressed for time this month, that TOTALLY works for me!

LOL Next month I've already calculated I'm going to be out of state for 11 stinking days. Goodness knows how I'll get May to work at all for reading nine books! LOL 8 of those days are tied up with conventions. The other 3 is actually a business trip of my husband's that we're going on. LOL All 11 of those days are to Baltimore, Maryland. Which is kind of funny if you think about it. A friend there was like 'So are you even going to bother going home?" I told her "Gee, I'm not sure if there's any point!"
