Eva | 4 comments I'd like to merge my old author account where I was using a pen name (E.M. Blomqvist), with my new author page where I use my real name (Eva Konstantopoulos).

The book has been republished under my real name and that's the edition I'd like to have on goodreads.

We do not combine author profiles in different languages.

Neither of those are claimed profiles, so this is not the correct thread. If you need help adding different versions of the author names as primary/secondary authors to allow for combining, start a new thread in this folder.

Goodreads does not merge distinct pen-names.
In some cases, a book may be originally published under a pen name, but then later reissued under the author's original name. When this happens, the author listed for any and all editions should be the author name the book was originally published under - so the reissued edition would need its primary author name changed to the originally published pen name, with the additional name added as secondary for all editions with it on the cover. Doing this will allow the various editions to be combined.

No, merging authors has no effect on threads with links. The links will not redirect.

Authors with books published in multiple languages should have their names dealt with similarly to those with pen names. All editions should have the primary author name as the standard or most common Roman (that is, English-language) version of the author's name. Editions published under another spelling of the name or the name in another language should have that name listed as the secondary author. Different editions of a book not having the same primary author can cause quite a few distinct problems. Please keep the primary author for all editions of a work the same.

Reminder: Please only list authors in this topic who need to be merged by a GR staff member. That is, when one of the profiles has been claimed by the GR-member author.

Do not list authors for disambiguation, authors who are deceased, or authors needing merging where neither profile has been claimed.

Posts that do not belong in this thread may be deleted.

Also note: Blank profiles (no books, fans, quotes, etc.) will not be merged. They will be left for the cleanup script.
