I don't want books where the hero is the one who does the raping

That Camden Summer by LaVyrle Spencer has a similar plot line, although the rape actually happens during the book and can be upsetting for some.
In addition to the Mercy Thompson series, the Alpha and Omega series by Patricia Briggs has a similar plotline (with werewolves) and it is handled beautifully. The same theme also appears with a male character and a supporting character in her Dragon Blood.
On a more purely romantic note, both Island Snatchers by Janice Kay Johnson and The Lady by Anne McCaffrey both have experience abuse and rape, and both find kindness and support from caring male leads.
Also, A Question of Justice by Rachel Lee features a heroine who has been raped. Very sweet story, actually.
If you can find them, Mary Kirk wrote two lovely 1980s romances featuring strong heroines who found love after rape/abusive relationships: Phoenix Rising and Embers: Author's Cut. Also, Kay Hooper dealt with this theme in The Matchmaker and The Touch of Max.
