Yes, me too! He was a treat to listen to. Now I need to work in when to read the next in series.

Has anyone ever been to a Romance Genre Conference? I have never thought of going, but noticed that a fave author is going to be at one not too far from me in August.

I have never been to one, but I read they are fun.

Never been to one, bur that sounds fun! Which author will be there?

Sherry Thomas!

If it is taking place near you and if you can do it, I say go and have a great time!

You should! Then report back how it was.

I love her books too. You should go for it, if you can!

It's on my bucket list!
Most are in the US which is bit far away...

The only thing I don't like about the app is that I can't edit my comments and sometimes it cuts part of other members' comments.

Exactly...I like to comment in a more friendly environment. Not like now..too hard.

I even use another app when scanning in my books now. It downloads them to my good reads account. I think I just use the app for reviews while thrift store hunting.

Which app so you use?

Which app so you use?"
I use Book Catalogue when I want to scan a larger number of paper backs in. I tend to let my used /thrift store finds pile up, and I felt the scanner was a little better than the GR one.

I just had to shout somewhere where people would understand my excitement!!
I just won this book! Now I'm salivating because it's number 11 and I'm just finishing #2 of the series.
EEEEEp! Great way to start the week!

Awesome! I love how this series builds the expectation of the finale with each book.

I am a little behind times, but I just saw that author Julie Anne Long is among the many who lost her home in the California wildfires this month. For any in this group that may be affected by the fires, I hope you are safe and well.

Oh how sad. I second your thoughts, Joanna.

I am so sad to hear that! I saw a tweet from her asking for prayer as she and her family fled the area. I live in CA about 70 miles away and the smoke is so bad we haven't been outside. Schools were closed because of the smoke. It's just so very sad.

Yeah I like her too. The spindle cove series is awesome. Lights &quick and some are very steamy.

Goodreads is celebrating a romance week. It is on the goodreads homepage. A few book listings, recommendations, top 100 romances and author trivia are posted. Thought you ladies would be interested to read this. Also another way to pile up our tbrs:)
I thought this was pretty neat. There is a coming soon magazine for Historical Romance readers: https://historicalromancemagazine.com

Thanks for the info, Joanna. Looks interesting.

I also wanted to share the live video Lisa Kleypas posted on her facebook account (with the help of her daughter), where she reads an excerpt from Devil's Daughter and answered a few questions from fans. She talks a little bit about the next book in the series: Cassandra and Tom Severin's!

I would have waited for the audio to become available if she used the same guy. Sigh
