you don't have to change your whole name---add something to it, like the other Amy added a flower to her name, you could add an initial, a star...whatever. Just a little something to help out differentiate your name from the other Amy

Sherri F. (readersherrif) | 34 comments Dying in Style (Josie Marcus, Mystery Shopper, #1) by Elaine Viets Is it too late for July 2015? If there are any late bloomers, can you match us up? If it's for all of July then pick 2 - 4 b/c I have others I'm working on too but these keep getting put on back burner.

My Dusty Bookshelf books:

Shari, I choose Double Dealer (CSI Crime Scene Investigation, #1) by Max Allan Collins and The Surgeon (Rizzoli & Isles, #1) by Tess Gerritsen for you. I read the CSI book years ago and enjoyed it, plus I've always wanted to read a Rizzoli and Isles book. Happy Reading!

message 216: by Minerva (new)

Minerva (minervaclaire) It's Like This by Anne O'Gleadra I really enjoyed this. It was hidden deep in my TBR, mostly because I'm not a fan of YA/NA. Niles was annoying for the first 40% of the book but then he finally started communicating with Rylan and they worked out their issues.

message 217: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth | 489 comments So I'm starting The Island of Doctor Moreau by H.G. Wells hopefully I'll like it because so far I've read 2 of his books and didn't like them at all.

Same here. I liked it in spite of the YA.

Susan A | 2091 comments Sally

Where There's Smoke by Nico Jaye ★★★★ It was very cute. I can't believe I'm writing this, but it really didn't need the sex at the end.

King's Conquest (Mending the Rift, #1) by Valentina Heart ★★★ I love this cover. This is one of those short books that really bother me. On the one hand I liked what I read, but on the other hand, I felt like I was reading a well thought out plot for a full book that was not written...and well I'd rather read that. I did like it enough to try book 2.

Thanks for these picks.

Elizabeth | 489 comments First I want to say thinks to Wendi Jane for picking The Island of Doctor Moreau by H.G. Wells .becouse I was kind of apprehensive about it becouse in the past I've tried to like his books but just can't get in to them, the two I tried before was The War of the Worlds by H.G. Wells and The Invisible Man by H.G. Wells ,and like I said before just could get in to them at all.didn't like either the books or the original movies that are out ,even saw the original movie to The Island of Doctor Moreau by H.G. Wells and did like it either.but the book I kinda did like so I give it a four star rating.thinks again for picking it and making me read it.now I just got to get it in paperback to add to my book shelf.also I'm starting my 2nd book she picked in a little while which is The Arch of Avooblis (Adventurers' Academy #1) by Charles Streams

~Melissa~ | 5253 comments Hi ~Leslie~ I finished up my first pick of Losing It (Losing It, #1) by Cora Carmack - I enjoyed it - gave it 4♥'s but wow there were a lot of cringe worthy moments - Bliss is kind of a total nutjob when she is in her head and should really think sometimes before she opens her mouth. I loved the secondary characters too. Thanks for getting it off my TBR pile.
I'll be fitting in Cinder later this month - just not sure when. Hope finding step-families is getting better for you :)

Primal Bonds (Shifters Unbound, #2) by Jennifer Ashley

No need to apologize! Elixir was on my Dusty Bookshelf! haha. I will let you know what I think after I read Elixir. I've been a fan of Hilary Duff, so I thought it might be time to give her writing a try. You have a book review blog? That sounds really neat! I definitely need to review more books on GR. Personally, I really liked Divergent. You should read it when you have the time (or if someone picks it for you). It's an interesting concept. I have a couple of friends who refuse to read it because they feel that dystopian novels are overdone. I like dystopian books though, so it does not bother me. I'm reading Allegiant right now; so far, I'm enjoying it! Thank you for one good pick so far :)

Nichole | 1862 comments I❤BG(Teresa),

I finished both of my picks for this month!

Nice Girls Don't Bite Their Neighbors (Jane Jameson, #4) by Molly Harper - 4 stars. Molly Harper is always good for a laugh! It's time for me to start Half-Moon Hollow now :)

The Scorpio Races by Maggie Stiefvater - 4 stars. This was so different! Brutal, vicious, and wild water horse races. I think I'll pass on this particular sport, lol.

Thanks!!

Minerva (minervaclaire) Trust Me If You Dare (Romano and Albright, #2) by L.B. Gregg
This was laugh out loud funny. Caesar has a knack for getting into trouble. Dan and Caesar are hot together. I'd love to read more about them.

Kay (Brigidsmomma) Compton (brigidsmomma) | 565 comments I have finished both choices for this month: The Public Pretender by M.D. Cliatt and Devil's Chimney by Tin Larrick . These were both very good and I rated them both 5 stars. It was sort of a theme this month that had to do with corruption in policing... The Public Pretender dealt with corruption and collusion in the Juvenile Detention/Probation departments of an American east coast city, while Devil's Chimney dealt with police corruption and criminal enterprise at the highest levels within the Constabulary of a British city. A bit more graphic in the violence department than i like, but still, they were both excellent reads.

❀~Amy~❀ (ajpayne75) @ Debbie G.

I finished the first of my two picks and am going to go ahead and post because I am not sure I'll make it to the other one. I feel like I am running out of month faster than books on my list. :(

So I read Rainbow Blues by K.C. Burn today and I absolutely loved it, 4 1/2 stars. The two MC's were so great and just perfect for each other. It was a light, fun, sweet read, with just a bit of angst thrown in to keep it from getting sappy and boring....just what I needed right now.

message 236: by VampAmber (last edited Jul 16, 2015 12:38AM) (new)

VampAmber | 622 comments Just finished my first pick, Taking the Lead Lessons from a Life in Motion by Derek Hough , and just... wow. It was so good. It was the most motivational book I have ever read, yet it never once got annoying or syrupy about it. He was one of my favorite dancers on DWTS before, but I think now he's one of my favorite people, as well. I definitely recommend this book to anybody and everybody who likes him in any way. Five stars doesn't seem good enough. And I'm gushing, so I'll just... go over here now... Thank you so much for picking it, Jodi.

Marty (martymill) | 1299 comments I just finished Wolf Hall (Thomas Cromwell, #1) by Hilary Mantel last night. It was an exceptional novel, and I gave it five stars. Mantell obviously did her research into this period. An aside - I watched the PBS series based on this book and it followed the novel pretty closely. It will be interesting to see what the next book in the trilogy is like.

⚜️XAR the Bookwyrm (xar-the-bookwyrm) Paris, I got both of my books read finally! I read Owning Violet (The Fowler Sisters, #1) by Monica Murphy and gave it 2.5 stars. Thank you for getting me to read it as it was a review book. Unfortunately, Fifty Shades of Gray and the Crossfire series (which I was only able to stomach 2 books) have led me to despise these types of books.

but this one wasn't as bad as the crossfire series so I finished it :D
Thank you
