Emerson knew Bones was still watching her, and answered with her sentences pausing every now and then to take a picture. "Just city life. Street art, food carts, the like. Sometimes when I would take pictures for pleasure rather than work, I would ask people what was going on in their life right then, if they let me take a picture of them. I guess I sort of benefit from the stupidity of humans nowadays. They're sort of beautiful."

Emerson took a few more pictures and paused, sighing at the question and biting her lip before she answered. "Yeah, I do. Sometimes I don't think it will come to that, but if it does, then we ourselves wouldn't exactly have a place to go," she said, not meaning demons but angels, especially the tainted, 'fallen' ones like her. Ones who had committed crimes or sins like the humans and demons. "Sometimes I wonder if angels and demons should just take charge and put and end to all of the human life so we can stay."

Emerson smiled faintly at Bones' teasing, though turned back around with a serious face to look at him. "Well, I better make good friends with one side before that happens, then?" Otherwise, no matter who won, she would have no where to go. At least if she was on a losing side she could move to hell, or back to heaven.

Emerson had to laugh at that, finishing up and walking over to sit next to Bones, bumping her knee to his as she chuckled again. "You think demons are that flaky, or do they just don't care? Or both?" She realized she was talking about demons to him as if he wasn't one, but brushed it off.

Emerson's expression sobered and she frowned slightly. "You mean the ones like your father's," she confirmed, sighing and turning off her camera. She let the strap hang from her wrist and it swung a little bit.

Emerson was glad for the change in subject, as seeing Bones upset made her feel sick. She bit her lip and shrugged, leaning over to grab her camera bag and unzipped it as she said, "I'm not really sure." She put the camera back in the bag and looked up, realizing it was getting later and darker. "Have you ever checked out the food vendors by the park?" she asked Bones.

Emerson chuckled and stood up, slinging the two bags' straps over her shoulders before taking Bones' hand and pulling him to stand. "You hungry?" she asked, realizing she should before she demand they go. She pulled her hair out from underneath again.

"Good. I'm paying," Emerson informed him. She realized she had paid more attention to watching Bones on their hike to the waterfall that she remembered little of the walk, so she looked around as they headed back to his truck. After a moment, she said, "Thank you for taking me to the waterfall. It meant a lot." Though whether because he knew she would like it or the fact that he hadn't taken anyone else there, she didn't know.

It seemed that every time Bones kissed her, Emerson felt weak in the knees and her heart skipped, which told her that she really did like him. She squeezed his hand and smirked as she walked with him the rest of the way to the truck, waiting for him to unlock before putting her bags in the backseat and climbing in.

"Usually there's more food carts in the middle of the park, but since it's already autumn, there might not be. But on the outside, usually on the west or north park's curb, there will be a few trucks," Emerson informed Bones, looking out the window at the forest they passed.

Emerson pulled her hair into a high ponytail after exiting Bones' truck, smirking slightly and pointing to a smaller (in contrast to the others at least) purple food truck. "I don't normally go to any of them, but when I do, I rotate. This one has..." She chuckled. "Okay, it sounds really gross and weird, but I swear it's not. It has... Wait for it. Fried macaroni and cheese." She turned her head to check Bones' expression.

"Well, dear," Emerson teased him, "If you don't want to try it, you don't have to. We can go ahead and get you cotton candy." She pointed to another truck a few spaces away from the original one. "But seriously though, it tastes like homemade mac and cheese, like with the breading? Only slightly greasier, because it's food cart food," she said as if it were obvious that it would be greasy. "I tried it in my time of need. I was in mourning."

"It's a novelty," Emerson stated before seeing that Bones had pulled money out of his pocket and blocked his path. "Uhuhn." She let go of his hand and crossed her arms. "I said I was paying. Put that away." She turned to the food cart and stepped up to the window. Thankfully, they were the only ones there. She ordered two of the mac and cheese things and a drink before stepping to the side to allow Bones to order in the case he chickened out on the fried bites.

"Ugh," Emerson muttered, though secretly pleased with herself. However, he had paid for their dinner the other night. She huffed, stubborn, but wouldn't let her pride push her to literally shove Bones out of the way so she could pay herself. She flashed a fake, annoyed smile when Bones asked and replied, "Yep. That's all," before moving off to the side to wait for their order at the other window.

"We practically have the entire park to ourselves," Emerson stated, which was true. "So, we could just ealk around for a bit. Or you could pick." The angel shrugged, doing a one-eighty to get a view of the area around them. "I don't care."

"Well, alright, but if I find out the tree's got it in for me, I might have to leave," Emerson joked before softly sitting in the grass next to him. She gestured with her food towards him and arched her eyebrows. "Go on. Try it."

Emerson watched Bones chew and decide as a sneaky, slow grin spread on her lips. "Really? I've actually never had it." She laughed sheepishly before popping one of the bites into her mouth and chewed.

"It's fine, but not super impressive. I've had it before, just not from this cart," Emerson answered after she swallowed. She set her plate down next to her leg and tilted her head at Bones. "Does it bother you I lied?" As she was pretty sure she hadn't ever to him before.

((Sorry, I got the notification on my phone for that but when I went to look for it, it had disappeared?
Mobile sucks.))
Emerson nodded. "I had figured so. Which I appreciate. It's very chivalrous of you, especially for a demon." The angel was sort of teasing, but wasn't smiling to show she was serious enough. She took her plate of food and Bones' as well before standing. "Okay, I'm sorry, though. That really did suck. Now it's my turn to buy us dinner, if you trust me at all anymore." She smirked. "Stay here. What do you want?"

((It's fine, happens to me too.))
((Did you reply to the doubles, too, and I missed it?))
Emerson smiled and turned her back to head to the food trucks again. A few minutes later she was back in front of Bones with both her hands behind her back. "Okay, you have a really important decision to make, and I can only hope you think carefully and choose wisely." She shrugged her shoulders to give attention to holding her hands behind her back. "Left or right?"

Bones was sort of people watching when Emerson came back over to him. He did that often he just got bored quickly and then just started focusing in on one group of people and started reading their body language, sometimes it could get very interesting. When Emerson came back up to him he pulled his attention away from a group of teenagers and looked up at her with a smile. He laughed softly when she asked him to pick and looked between her left and right arms. "Hmmmmmm" he said and looked as though he was concentrating very hard. "Gonna have to go with Right" he said.
((Would you mind commenting on it? I can't find the thread.))
Emerson nodded slowly before drawing her hands out, revealing two hot dogs. "Well, okay, there's literally no difference between the two, so you took a good enough choice." She smiled a little before handing Bones his do-over food and sitting down across from him, folding her knees so they brushed his leg. "I promise they weren't bought at the fried mac and cheese truck." The angel paused, looking distant as she thought about pressing the lying thing further, but deciding against it.

Bones chuckled and carefully took his hot dog from her. "Thank you" he said and watched her sit down before taking a bit. He quickly chewed and swallowed before lightly chuckling at her next comment. That's good, "Not a very good place" he said jokingly before taking another bite. He finished chewing and swallowing once again before talking, "What would you say your biggest pet peeve is?" he asked randomly.
((Hey, I'm really sorry about this, and I'll try to post to each of these once more soon, but would you be upset if I said I need a break for a couple of days? I'm getting super bad headaches and only focusing on one light RP right now. I still really want to do both of our RPs but I just need a couple of days. I'm sorry!!))
((I'll get to the other one tonight.))
Emerson took a bite and chewed while she thought for her answer to Bones' question. "That's tough..." she murmured after swallowing. "I don't like being undermined or treated as lesser, but I already told you that." She set her plate on her leg and rested her head back against the tree. "Sometimes the sound of breathing or chewing really bothers me. What's yours?" she asked before taking another bite.

((Oh my god, I am SO sorry! I keep thinking about this and spacing out; yes, I do want to continue both of these. Let me reply to this one. I am so sorry! Do you want to continue?))
