Yeah...really. Also, I had read a little about the author beforehand and read that he had become a Nazi sympathizer...and was shunned...and spent the end of his life poor. That was hard to forget when reading the work.

Tuyen, I think this can be used for the genres task for combo also. Ishiguro qualifies for person of colour, and this is listed as historical genre.
I also have it ticked off against 20.5 on my list, but not sure why ...

No, thanks Kate, I have gone back through the list this morning to double check and it is not on there. I think I just muddled the spreadsheet. Finding my system this time round is much more effective and not much is slipping by me though, which is good.

I wasn't expecting to have read so much yet this season - but i'm still unemployed and have found that listening to audiobooks while working in the garden makes time go a lot faster and makes it way more fun. :) Hopefully I'll be employed within the next few months so i can read a bit less
