Did you read this book? Did you like it? Team Maxon or Team Aspen? How did you feel about the second book?

CANT WAIT FOR THE SECOND BOOK! Lol! :)))....Although I am still team-less because I think she should be with Maxon because it seems like he is falling in love with her, but then I feel sorry for Aspen cuz he has been in love with her forever....UGH! Such a sad thing...But I am thinking I am heading for Team Maxon he he.
i can't wait for the second book either!yeah, team maxon forever!!!! he's so sweet, and aspen is... not. :P
I LOVE the Selection!! I've had the Elite on hold since July, I still don't have it XD Team Maxon <3
ugh, the second book was BAD!!! just lower your expectations and it might be okay...also, love square alert!
I liked The Elite, but I was disappointed in both America and Aspen. They are both being so stubborn. In The Elite more is revealed about the whole caste system and the rebels. I thought that was cool. So now I am anxiously awaiting until the last one comes out. I need to know who America ends up with! You should definitely read The Elite.

I LOVE this series!! I'm split completely even between Maxon and Aspen... I JUST DONT KNOW!!!! I can't wait for The One.
Oh. My. God. I LOVE this series! I read bad reviews before I took it on. I'm so glad they didn't deter me from reading the book. I can't wait to get my hands on the last book. Team Maxon all the way!
Hannah wrote: "I'm so excited for "The one"!!!!!!!!! Maxon is the one! America needs to get it together."lol agreed.
I think America will face a new enemy the King of course. I'm on Team Maxon. but the second book's ending is very vague on whom she will choose. Aspen or Maxon.
Maxon. And I can not wait for THE ONE to come out!
I absolutely love the books but to be honest I'm not fully into Maxon nor Aspen, which is the first time ever in any book that I've read and enjoyed. I mean, Maxon sounds lovely and I think eventually I'll be on his team but I don't know. Still deciding, I guess.
At first I was team Aspen because I'm always on the side or the guy the girl was with first. (I mean I just feel so bad for them) But after reading the second book I'm leaning towards Maxon. Ugg!!! Now I don't know. I'll get back to you.

Aspen needs to give up, he had his chance and he didn't want her.
I absolutely loved the first two! I can't wait until The One. All of the covers are so pretty :) and I really hope she ends up with Maxon! I just don't really like Aspen as a character, and Maxon is just better for her, in my opinion.
I love the selection trilogy!! Definitely team maxon, he's so sweet, I'm so excited for the one! :-)
I'm guessing she ends up marrying one of them because on the cover of The One it looks like she's wearing a wedding dress.
I was thinking that too. In The Selection she was picked to be in the selection. In The Elite she was one of the elite. So in The One is she the one that marries Maxon?
I am definitely team Maxon. Aspen treats America badly because he's emotionally immature and takes it out on her. He also puts her in danger by continuing a relationship while they are at the palace. I enjoyed the book and am looking forward to "The One."
I like both, but I think I'm probably team aspen. Cuz here's the thing.Maxon loves America.
America loves the fact that Maxon loves her so much.
Aspen also loves America.
America loves Aspen.
She loves what Maxon did/ how he feels, but she doesn't love him. She loves Aspen exactly how he is.

You make a good point.....
I just hate how Aspen was mad at here for liking Maxon.

Indeed! I actually hate the point that you are making, but you are right!
I am so team Maxon, definitely after reading The Prince, but then again I do think she will end up with Aspen as he was her first love.
I don't like Aspen very much, but I LOVE Maxon. He's awesome! There's just something about Aspen and I feel like I just can't trust him. Maxon on the other hand is PERFECT for America.
I'm going to warn you guys right now: This will not be a nice comment. With that said, words cannot describe how much I hated the first book. I think my biggest problem with it was the main character: America Singer. America Singer. *America Singer*. What kind of a name is that? I mean, 'America' is fine, but *Singer*... in case you didn't know, she sings. Well, forget her, there wasn't much going on in this book. Sure, she and Maxon had their moments and they talked, but that was pretty much it. Actually, the idea of 'The Selection' annoys me also. I mean, how can you find true love if all you're doing is choosing from a bunch of girls; that isn't love, it's settling for someone. As for team Aspen or team Maxon, I'd say Team Get Yourself A New Girl. I really didn't like Aspen and Maxon... meh.
That's fine if you didn't like the book, but the reasoning behind her name is actually important (behind a tag for people who haven't read book 2): (view spoiler)"Actually, the idea of 'The Selection' annoys me also. I mean, how can you find true love if all you're doing is choosing from a bunch of girls; that isn't love, it's settling for someone." This is addressed as well: (view spoiler)
The Selection was the BEST BOOK EVER!!! I loved it soooo much! I am all in for team MAXON! He is so sweet and caring! I can't wait for The One to come out!!!
Ummm well I guess both genders could read it but it is might well definitely more of a girls choice
That's what I thought about Matched because it was sorta like a love triangle but it is amazing!!!!!!!!!!
It's kind of girly... but if you like YA dystopian novels then you will probably like The Selection.
The Selection is so wonderful, I liked it more than Matched. If you liked Matched though I would say give the Selection a fair chance. It is pretty girly in love triangle terms and like the competition terms.
Yeah I didn't know u liked matched but if you like that u will loooovvveee the selection
Matched is kind of similar and for some reason The Selection reminded me of the Luxe series by Anna Godberson.
Aspen is such an asshole. TEAM MAXON.
