Woo hoo!!! Good job, Mary Beth! You're the first to complete the challenge!

This is an Alex award winner. My library classifies it as an adult book. I think it definitely appeals to adult readers (I really enjoyed it and at 31 I think most people would classify me as an adult), but I would say that it would also resonate with teens. The main characters are all teenagers and their complex relationships with their parents and the IDEA of their parents is one of the stronger themes of the book. The first crush romances developing are secondary, but would I think add to the appeal of the story. I actually found that aspect of the book the weakest and sort of feel like it was put into the book specifically so that it would have stronger teen appeal. Also, I think this kind of post-nuclear dystopian book is popular with young adults right now in general.
I have now completed all sections of the 50 point task, so hooray for me!
