The book is about finding the "last testament" -> Abraham's testament. During the peace negotiations between Israel and Palestine a series of deaths occur on both sides. U.S. negotiator Maggie is trying to prevent further damage by investigating on her own. Whom does "Jerusalem" belongs to? The jewish Israel or the islamic Arabs?
Several 2012 world news correspond with the problems that are laid out in the novel.
