One down, 23 to go. I think I prefer reading and marking off each genre as I go. So, I've been wanting to read Rebecca for awhile. I'm trying to fit this in a genre other than Classics. Maybe Mystery or Romance?

I was considering trying to do that challenge, but I have NO idea for the chick-lit one... it's just not my cup of tea.Any suggestions? I usually prefer fantasy, literary, fantastical, so any chick-lit who could mix with those other genres would interest me...
Some for thriller.
I get easily bored, please recommend books that are at least strange and different! :)

I've just finished my second (this is proving far more of a challenge for me than some people I see!). I read A Discovery of Witches, which I've reviewed on my profile. http://www.goodreads.com/review/show/... It was enjoyable enough but wasn't overly thrilled by it to be honest.
7. The Guards by Ken Bruen for Pulp/Hard-boiled/Noir8. Monsieur Teste by Paul Valéry for Philosophical
I decided to post my challenge plan, to keep an overview and then fill it in as I go:Auto-)Biography: Damned to Fame: The Life of Samuel Beckett (October)

Fantasy: Tigana or The Hobbit (November)
Graphic Novel: Maus, Vol. 1: My Father Bleeds History (September)

There are a ton of biographies I'd love to read, but to be honest, I'm not the fastest reader, ..."Brian, for paranormal, I really, really enjoyed A Discovery of Witches by Deborah Harkness. In my time, I have read a lot of trashy, paranormal but this had much more depth and maturity to it. Saying that, it is written from a woman's point of view and has a bit of romance in it so I'm not quite sure what that would be like: to read as a guy. For me, it was good fun!
Just finished my horror choice, The Haunting of Hill House by Shirley Jackson - absolutely loved it! Thanks to Michael's review, I'm considering electing to readMiss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children as my YA choice.
#15 - Graphic Novel - The Kite Runner: Graphic Novel by Khaled Hosseini Review: http://www.goodreads.com/review/show/...
Brenda wrote: "#15 - Graphic Novel - The Kite Runner: Graphic Novel by Khaled Hosseini Review: http://www.goodreads.com/review/show/..."
I've been looking around for a graphic novel for the challenge, as I've never read one in my life. Maybe I'll try this one. I've wanted to read The Kite Runner for awhile, too.
I really loved it Franky, and I had read the novel first.... That was my second Graphic Novel, my first, and introduction to them was The Complete Maus by Art Spiegelman and it was amazing! I would definitely recommend that one too:)
