Franky One down, 23 to go. I think I prefer reading and marking off each genre as I go. So, I've been wanting to read Rebecca for awhile. I'm trying to fit this in a genre other than Classics. Maybe Mystery or Romance?

I read that recently Franky. Amazing book.

Yes you could fit that into a few genre - Mystery, Romance, Thriller or Historical Fiction.

Enjoy :)

message 80: by Cindy (new)

Cindy Dalfovo (princessmiwi) | 2 comments I was considering trying to do that challenge, but I have NO idea for the chick-lit one... it's just not my cup of tea.
Any suggestions? I usually prefer fantasy, literary, fantastical, so any chick-lit who could mix with those other genres would interest me...
Some for thriller.
I get easily bored, please recommend books that are at least strange and different! :)

message 81: by Brenda (new)

Brenda Cindy, I find going through other people's lists helps me choose if I'm a bit stuck! Good luck:)

Brian, for paranormal, I really, really enjoyed A Discovery of Witches by Deborah Harkness. In my time, I have read a lot of trashy, paranormal but this had much more depth and maturity to it. Saying that, it is written from a woman's point of view and has a bit of romance in it so I'm not quite sure what that would be like: to read as a guy. For me, it was good fun!

message 96: by Leanne (new)

Leanne (littlebunnylibrary) Just finished my horror choice, The Haunting of Hill House by Shirley Jackson - absolutely loved it!

Thanks to Michael's review, I'm considering electing to readMiss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children as my YA choice.

I've been looking around for a graphic novel for the challenge, as I've never read one in my life. Maybe I'll try this one. I've wanted to read The Kite Runner for awhile, too.

message 99: by Brenda (new)

Brenda I really loved it Franky, and I had read the novel first.... That was my second Graphic Novel, my first, and introduction to them was The Complete Maus by Art Spiegelman and it was amazing! I would definitely recommend that one too:)
