It was a great book, definitely different! And no I didn't realize there was a film Franky! Did you watch it and enjoy?

Any suggestions? I usually prefer fantasy, literary, fantastical, so any chick-lit who could mix with those other genres would interest me...
Some for thriller.
I get easily bored, please recommend books that are at least strange and different! :)

It was enjoyable enough but wasn't overly thrilled by it to be honest.

8. Monsieur Teste by Paul Valéry for Philosophical

Auto-)Biography: Damned to Fame: The Life of Samuel Beckett (October)
Chick-Lit: Me Before You(December)
Fantasy: Tigana or The Hobbit (November)
Graphic Novel: Maus, Vol. 1: My Father Bleeds History (September)
Horror: We Have Always Lived in the Castle (October)
Paranormal: A Discovery of Witches
Philosophical: Monsieur Teste
Sience Fiction:Wool Omnibus(November)

Brian, for paranormal, I really, really enjoyed A Discovery of Witches by Deborah Harkness. In my time, I have read a lot of trashy, paranormal but this had much more depth and maturity to it. Saying that, it is written from a woman's point of view and has a bit of romance in it so I'm not quite sure what that would be like: to read as a guy. For me, it was good fun!

Thanks to Michael's review, I'm considering electing to readMiss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children as my YA choice.

I've been looking around for a graphic novel for the challenge, as I've never read one in my life. Maybe I'll try this one. I've wanted to read The Kite Runner for awhile, too.
