4:31 a.m. EST; clearing out my e-mail, checking Amazon for Kindle freebies from my wishlist, re-charging my Kindle, clearing out my e-mail, and then I believe I'll read some Buffy graphic novels for awhile! Wheeee!

Katy, I love going on Amazon and getting feebies for my KIndle app for PC. I got a ton of them LOL. I will get to them soon I am sure. Hope you got alot!

10:58 a.m. EST - just finished a Buffy graphic novel orgy, and am now finally sleepy rather than just tired. 'fcourse now I have to stay awake so I can wake up hubby for work in a couple hours... Heh. Setting up my next read, which will be for review. thinking about eating some jerky, 'cause I'm hungry.Janie, thanks; there was only one freebie from my wishlist today, but another was pointed out to me by a friend and I also picked up a 99 centser. I have picked up a lot of them, though. One day I think I ended up grabbing 40. I've stopped looking too hard, though, 'cause there's no way I'll read all these before I die anyway... :-)
4:00pm Just finished all my coursework from the past 3 weeks, now gonna wind down with a nice cup of hot chocolate and a book :)

1:09pm Just started on chapter two in the new book I started yesterday, The Way of Kings by Brandon Sanderson.It's the first time I've been on this thread and thought it might help to get me writing again, get the creative juices flowing so to speak, kind of like a journal.
1:54 p.m. EST, finished my Buffy and made a start on next book to be reviewed. Now I'm clearing out my e-mail, and then I'll wake up my husband, send him to work, and finally have a lovely nap. :-)
1:08 PM. Eating lunch, making a grocery list, and on GR.
2:11 p.m. EST yelling at a bad cat who is pooping where he shouldn't, working to wake up a husband who is sleeping when it's time to go to work, and reading until he's gone, at which point I'll sleep... Peace, out!
6:14 pm EST putting away ironed clothes. getting ready to take my shower.

Oh how I have missed goodreads, I haven't been very participating the last few days I have been in a bit of s funk. Teri, I do hope you feel better, I hate feeling off and not motivated to do anything.Jordan, congrats on getting all your work finished that is a wonderful accomplishment.
per the cat comments, I am a dog person, but I got such a laugh out of all of it so thank you all for giving me something to chuckle about as I catch up from time off.

Ok so I am in a good mood. It is 8:02 PM and my lovely wife is having book club at our place tonight. I am relaxing in the bedroom checking in on all my friends here and catching up. I made some good food tonight and I'm snacking and watching The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes with Jeremy Brett. I do love this old series. I'll be around.
9:35 p.m just wrote a couple reviews, now I'm catching up on groups, then I dunno what.

I get that way sometimes and tend to get off the grid for awhile. But happy you are back.
I see you liked out cat chatter. LOL! I like dogs also. In fact I grew up with a beige mini poodle named Champagne ( loved that dog ). My 13 yr old is an animal lover and would have doggone animal if I allowed her. But seriously, my co-op does not allow dogs.

12:04 a.m. EST Woke up from a nap about an hour and a half ago, been working through e-mail, eating pistachios and sipping on a lovely gas-station cappuccino. Have a cat demanding food, but he'll have to earn it! Considering returning to sleep when my e-mail is cleared out and cappuccino gone.Oh, I had missed the cat-spray discussion. Mine are all toms, so you can imagine it is a problem here. There is this stuff we found called Eeeew (well, it's not spelled exactly like that; I can't remember now exactly how it is spelled but found it at a local pet store, so it shouldn't be too hard to find) that works really well to kill the odor.
11:51 a.m. EST Awoke to find myself curled up on the upper 1/3 quadrant of my side of the bed with my cat Erasmus stretched comfortably across the middle... Going through my e-mail and FB posts as I wait for my eyes to focus again so I can start to read, and eating some pistachios (I love pistachios. When I have a bag I'm constantly munching on them.Sorry to hear, Kyle. Hope you feel better soon.
11:01 AM. Just got some awesome news!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Not going to get my hopes up though. About to do some laundry and dishes. :)
12:16 p.m. EST, here's hoping Kathryn's news is as wonderful as she hopes! Just finished clearing my e-mail and off to read for awhile. It's pouring rain and currently about 57 degrees F, but the temperature is supposed to start dropping soon, going at low at 45 by 5 p.m. from the looks of it. Chance of black ice tonight, but it will be cleared off by tomorrow with highs into the middle 50s and sunny. Georgia's weather is CRAZY, my friends... just crazy.
It's 11:48 AM and I am sitting in my Jeep letting the engine warm up before I head to work. I love the cold weather so I don't mind sitting out here waiting. Hope to get some time to read today if work is slow, I'm almost finished with my audio book and hope to get into the Shining today. Have a great day everyone. I really hope your news is Wonderful Kathryn, all happy thoughts your way.

2:21 p.m. EST. Listening to Queen, going through e-mail, working to chase my husband out of bed so he'll not be late to work. Watching the cats for tricks so I can reward them with gooshy food. :-)
1:37 PM. CAN'T FIND MY BLACK PANTS!!!!! argh! My good news is....I have a job interview tomorrow! Guess I get to go shopping because I can't find my black pants anywhere and I need them for tomorrow.
2:40 p.m. EST just finished clearing out my e-mail and seriously considering watching The Wall on YouTube. However, I think I'll save it and finish this book. I can watch the movie any time... 3:07 p.m. EST *headdesk* I just received my Vine newsletter and the 2nd Lovecraft Middle School book was there. I just ordered that over the weekend and it was shipped two days ago. *sigh* Oh, well. Just finished my Vine selections, and clearing out the bit of e-mail that accumulated and then back to reading for awhile before a nap.
4:09pm Drinking coffee and catching up with GR. I love dogs but, unfortunately, there is no way I could own one. First, my cats would pack their little bags and move out. Second, my schedule is too crazy so it would be difficult to work in dog walking, etc.
Kathryn, good luck on your interview tomorrow!

Awww, he's adorable! He sort of looks like my cat Mama. I posted a pic of her on my profile page but it's not a very good one; you can barely see her face. I really should post another one. My second cat, he's the one who is having a love affair with my entryway chair, is all black. I'll go check out your page. :)
it's 8:14pm and my show is a repeat so just hanging out on grthat cat is adorable! i miss having a pet- thinking about fostering an animal from the shelter in the spring

Yes but there is more to the ending in the book that you will need for future Lincoln Rhyme books, it is pretty good so there will still be some surprise at the end.
I'm trying, but boredom is a touch Nemesis, at least I have GR to get me through.
9:48 p.m. EST, just rose from my nap, much to His Royal Fluffiness the Fluff's annoyance, since he was in a box at the foot of the bed and had to run away, as per our agreement of mutual chaseness. Erasmus was only annoyed to miss the warm of my feet, since he's still wrapped up in the blankets, and Tiger is in the kitchen, probably being bad. Need to clear out my e-mail and then finish this book I'm reading.Thanks for the comments on my little Fluffy cat! He's actually my husband's cat - he barely tolerates me for my treat-distributing post. A most peculiar little cat, really. I rescued him and his brother Tiger when a neighbor found them abandoned as tiny kittens in his roof (literally, between the layers of the roof) and raised them using a syringe and the help of my older cat Erasmus to do the cleaning and licking, 'cause no way was I licking them myself. They were about 2 1/2 weeks old, barely had their eyes open. I love cats and if I had my way, I'd be like one of those episodes of Hoarders I'm always hearing about, only with all of the dozens of cats alive and well, of course.
Also? LOVE the Lincoln Rhyme books! My envy to those who are just now discovering them.
8:56 PM. Had a great workout, finished dinner, talked to my mother in law, and now I'm on GR. :)Thank you all so much for your encouragement and kind words. My interview is tomorrow at 2 PM. I am excited, nervous, and trying not to get my hopes up too much. Any good thoughts and prayers would be very appreciated. :)

10:34 p.m. EST - still working on e-mail. Husband brought me a cheeseburger and gas-station cappuccino for supper. Tiger cat helped me eat it. Erasmus is back under the covers warming up after gooshy food. His Royal Majestic Fluffiness the Fluff has just chased after his brother.

12:38 p.m. EST, been up about a half hour, when the cats demanded their gooshy. His Royal Fluffiness the Fluff actually ate all his offering today, which is good. Erasmus was particularly hungry, as he'd been feeling a bit of and threw up twice this morning, while Tiger will eat food anyplace and any time. Clearing out my e-mail, trying desperately to avoid a fight elsewhere here on GR, and considering eating some Cheet-os, 'cause I'm hungry and that's what I have nearby.Good luck, Kathryn. By my estimation, your interview is in about 20 minutes, so I'll have my fingers (figuratively) crossed for you (because if I literally do it, I won't be able to type).
