What time is it and what are you doing?
7:00 PM I've been horrible and haven't been keeping up with how everyone is doing. Hope all is well with everyone and there is no major illness keeping you all down. I'm in a bit of a reading funk right now and just can't seem to get motivated to read much. I'm loving the new season of Sherlock which just started this past Sunday here in the States. Can't wait for the next episode.
Its 1.15am and I'm tired tonight. I've got vampire diaries on and my cat all snuggley next to me. I'm signing off and hopefully I'll be able to sleep. I'm stuck on my candy crush game and its so tempting to buy extra lifes and stuff. I've not spent any money yet:)
7:50 PM. Cooking a late dinner of Hawaiian pork steaks, white rice, a sauce made out of pineapple and teriyaki marinade, and peas. I've never made it before, so, I hope it's good. Lol. I had a great workout, and because I procrastinated on it for so long, I realize I ate up some reading time. After we eat, I need to clean my sweaty self up. Sorry...tmi! But I am really looking forward to reading soon. Today has been a bit stressful for Mark, well, this week has so far, so I am eagerly awaiting the weekend.

8:43PM Had a great workout, no playground walk this evening, too cold. Aves decided he wanted to watch Beetlejuise tonight. Amy and Cort are coming to get him this evening. I am gonna read some more of Winter garden. I already completed my January TBR YAY! So whatever I read now is extras.
Angie wrote: "Oh Katy, I'm such a big Angel and Buffy fan, were are you up to in the series? My favourite Angel series is s.3. I loved the introduction of Holt's!! I've watched Buffy several times, but most of the Angel eps just once, so am enjoying becoming reacquainted. And I hate Holtz with a fiery passion for what he does to poor Angel (and Connor). Lorne is my favorite character; were you aware the actor who played him died in 2009? I only just learned last week and was so sad... :-(
9:48 p.m. EST Had a restless day sleeping, but am up now so I suppose I'll do some editing once I finish with my e-mail.
9:21 p.m. Watching basketball. Haven't been on here in it seems like forever. I miss all of my GR friends and hope that everyone is doing well!
11:16pm Just getting ready for bed. I'll read a little before bed. I got a lot of reading in today. Which is a great surprise.
7.53 PM Just finished homemade Thai soup for dinner, it was yum!! Dishes are done so now I need to decide what to read!
1208 (UK)Just caught up on all my reviews and goodreads. Going to pick the boy up from the station in a bit only a half day today and then some reading time.

It's sounds really gritty, which I like.

Its 2.45 and I've just got home. Got some really good second hand books which has made me happy:D and I got a very nice copy of marina by Carlos Ruiz zafron for half price in Water stones. I'm sitting down now to read for a few hours before my son comes for dinner.
10:41AM Randy brought me some breakfast this AM and a Mocha freeze. YUM! So what a great way to start the day. he was not feeling well this AM and stayed home. He thinks it is Sinus related, not a big surprise there it has been killing him all week. So now before we go out I plan to read and maybe do a book vlog we will see.
HAHA Susan I love Ducky! yup yup yup! It was sad when I heard the news that ducky's voice star was shot and killed by her own father! How sad.

11:10 AM. It is quite chilly outside!! It makes me just want to curl up in bed with Gizmo, Pepper, and a warm blanket. I plan to read some today, but I think first I'm going to finish folding clothes, put them away, and start the dishwasher. Janie, this weather is messing with my sinuses, too. The last few mornings I've woken up feeling sick, but then as the day goes on, I feel okay. I wish the weather would make up its mind. LOL It's given me a slight headache every day since the weekend, as well. Argh.
Sorry that Randy and Kathryn aren't feeling well. It really is cold outside, even hubby is wearing a sweatshirt today. Getting some housework, laundry done and a pot roast in the crock pot. Hoping to finish Persuasion today. Janie, that is crazy, I had never heard that, how terrible. Wow
Susan wrote: "Chuck wrote: "Susan wrote: "Chuck wrote: "Speaking of Dostoyevsky let me share this with you guys. At first it gave me quite a bit of trouble, but the more I read it the more I enjoyed it. I'm finding the same issue with foreign authors: native English speakers sometimes don't know how to pronounce the names and places in the book. When you get over that hurtle it's all good. In THE BROTHERS KARAMAZOV it's a little more difficult than that because the same character might have a few different Russian nicknames, and that goes for several of the characters. It can be quite confusing at first. It wasn't even what I was expecting, but I liked it a lot. I'm glad to have read it.
7:28pm I just ate 4 pieces of chocolate, and am trying to figure out if i feel guilty or not??... :/

11.38 AM Woot woot! It's Friday and it's a long weekend!!! We don't have much planned so hopefully I will get some jobs done around the house but more importantly I hope to get LOTS of reading done! We've been so busy lately it will be nice to have a lazy weekend. It's been a good week for reading so hopefully my streak continues :)
Alondra, chocolate is a vegetable, so no guilt.Chuck, Russian nicknames can be tricky. Dmitry once listed off all the different nicknames for his name and it's just nuts.
9:40 p.m. EST check it out, up before 10 p.m. Wow.
10:01PM Well had home made Chicken Noodle Soup with home made noodles for dinner, one of our faves! And what a great day for soup! Had a great work out, and now enjoying coffee and gonna read in my comfy chair since no one is claiming it this evening.
Shell hope you have a lovely continued streak!
LOL Alondra eat....eat I say! Heh wasn't their a study on how chocolate is GOOD for you? rofl

10:12 PM. Tonight I made vegetable beef soup and grilled cheeses for dinner. It was yummy for a super cold night. I had a great workout earlier, and while I was exercising, Mark came home. Some coffee and reading sounds good. I am so glad tomorrow is Friday because it has been a bit of a stressful week for us. I think Mark is going to bed now, but I think I am going to try to stay up for a bit and read.
It must be a soup kind of day! Last night we had kaeng jeut wun sen which is a simple Thai soup made with the pork broth I made the other day, noodles, pork balls and a mix of Asian greens - sooo yummy, we ate it every day when we were in Thailand! Tonight, to use up the rest of the broth we are having khao tom (Thai rice soup) which is kind of similar but it has rice instead of noodles and an egg in it. I love soup and Thai soup is so refreshing and energising in the hot weather. Kathryn your veggie beef soup sounds so yum. My mum always used to do grilled cheese with our soup when we were kids. It's such great comfort food :)
Janie, my mom used to make really tasty home-made noodles. I miss them.1:23 a.m. EST knocking off early this week for Buffy/Angel bingeing. Colonoscopy on Monday, so Sunday night will suck.
Alondra wrote: "7:28pm I just ate 4 pieces of chocolate, and am trying to figure out if i feel guilty or not??... :/"Don't feel bad. You wouldn't believe how much chocolate I routinely put away. Two giant Hershey bars is just a start. Those things are getting expensive too. That's what I feel bad about.
Good morning everyone!7:38 a.m. Just got done getting ready for work. It's so cold outside.....just want to curl back up under the covers...and maybe do some reading....hehe. ;-)
I love making different kinds of soup as well. I've got some really good noddle soup recipes and this week I made an Italian one that was so easy to make. It was just panchetta, diced onion, chicken stock, tomatoes and parmesan cheese and fresh basil. And I had crusty bread with it that I made as well. Very yummy! It tastes better if you make it the day before just leaving out the cheese until you are eating it.Its 2.45 here and I've got to go out in half an hour but I really don't want to. Its cold and raining:(
10:50 AM. Good morning, GR! I think Janie and I stayed up WAY too late last night. I didn't get into bed until 1:30 AM. I was working on writing all of my books down and putting them into my notebook I carry around with all of my books because I've neglected to do that. It helps me to not double-buy something and waste time and money. Anyways, between reading, making a few videos, dishes, and trying to finish what I started last night, it should be a bit of a busy day for me. I'm so glad it is Friday! Happy Friday, everyone! :)
10:52AM Been busy with online stuff this AM. About to do a Vlog and then read till it is time to move Amy out here! YAY she got a house 2 streets away from us, so I can go visit Aves anytime I want! YAY! It works out great for all of us. Gonna try and help a friend out today who needs to pick up a radiator for her car before we help Amy move. So busy busy day today. Buy YAA GUYS!!! IT IS FRIDAY!!!
So it is pretty unanimous, We all love soup!

Hi guys, not posted in here for ages. I love soup and it's pretty much all I can eat at the moment, my jaw hurts really badly :( I have made a sausage casserole in the slow cooker for later though and it has lots of mushy veg in it so should be okay for me to eat! It smells gorgeous, yum, yum. I'm off to continue reading Clash of Kings before I have to sort the dinner out,I want to finish it this weekend, I have just over 200 pages to go, so could be achievable, then I plan to make a dent in Les Miserables next week!
Its nearly 6.30 pm and I'm sat watching the Sleepy hollow TV show with my son who came round for dinner. KFC that he brought round, yum.I shared my chicken with my cat:)
421pm- it's freezing outside- arghjanie-great news about the family getting a house nearby
fyi-all of you have made me want a bowl of soup lol
happy friday everyone :)
Happy Friday all! I had a productive day and now all of the tax stuff is ready. My files are clean and I took care of all but one of those paperwork tasks I put off. Cooking a Sticky Chicken for dinner, " not really sticky", just the name of it. Special seasonings and cook for 5 hrs. Taste like a rotisserie chicken from the store. Yumma! My son finally got his Camero back today after an accident (not his fault) Nov 20th. Crazy... Fighting with an insurance company that no one has ever heard of and trying to be made whole again is an act of never ending fruition. It is scary that people can have insurance like that. Oh, I could go on... Needless to say...
Letters are being composed to all the powers that be.
Stay warm Holly. Hope your day goes fast.
Michelle: that soup sounds amazing, I wish I was brave, but Asian cooking is intimidating for me. I will look up that soup though, it sounds dreamy.
Janie, I am sooo happy for you all. Wonderful!! In NV my sis was one mile one way and Mom and Dad 1 mile the other. Family dinners A Lot and practically everyday interaction. Boy do I miss that. You are a very lucky gal. It takes a village to help to raise great kids. :))). Homemade noodles...mm maybe, Kathryn and all will have to have a pasta party. I would love to learn. I have often thought of getting a pasta press. Mmmm
Kathryn sounds like you had a productive spell as well. Hope all the allergy stuff is frozen. Everything else is. Lol
Hope all have a great weekend!.......

My mum lives 3/3.5 hours away and my brother used to live 2 hrs away but now only lives 20 minutes away - I sooooo appreciate having him close to me now. Funny, when we were kids and fought like cats and dogs I never thought I'd miss him or enjoy his company lol!

The Land Before Time was one of my favourite movies when I was little, I still remember going to see it at the movies with my Dad, I must have been about 5 years old. I had the hand puppet of Ducky that I got free with a Pizza Hut meal lol!
