9:58AM Ok so a busy day for today. Aeverie is still here, so we will be taking him home this afternoon. So my reading can get going really good this evening. I feel like I fall so far behind while Aves is here because he generally wants most of my attention while he is here. A movie can usually appease him in the AM, but after that it is mimi time. LOL So today he already watched a movie and did not even get through it and is asking me to play games. LOL So we will play some games, then we will get some lunch and then go into town after that and take him home. It will be about 4 I guess. Have to wait for Derek to get off of work cause he wants to go out too. So after this Aves will have my undivided attention.
I believe I want to read House of Darkness, House of Light. Maybe look today at the book store. It sounds amazing! Ok have a great day everyone!

2:55 p.m. EDT Overslept my meds again, then finally crawled out of bed about 1 and finished Dexter is Delicious. One of my neighbors dropped by to try to borrow some money for her meds but I had none :-( I noticed there is a beautiful green spider with an iridescent back spinning a web across the door of the duplex next door (which someone rents for storage, so don't go in and out much). Now finally to read Double Dexter! Oh, I had bought a hardcover two years ago but now I couldn't find it, so I had to buy a Kindle version to read... This is why I try not to accumulate any more physical books, since I can't find them when I need them because it's such a mess in here... *sigh* Fortunately a friend had given me a $10 Amazon gift certificate, so that covered most of it. Speaking of, it's her birthday tomorrow, I'd best send her one, too! Hope everyone else is going well today!

I certainly will let you know Ella. It sounds like it would be really good.

10:14 p.m. and I haven't been home very long from a night out with friends. Plan to read for an hour or so and hit the sack. Hope everyone had a pleasant day. Jordan, I hope you are feeling a little better by now.

My dad told me today, Grandma didn't have a good day. :/ it seems with her dementia, she was really confused. They moved her to the rehab portion of her nursing home yesterday, and Mark said this next week is going to be really hard for her.
Dementia is so cruel. Hugs to you and your grandma Kathryn.

11:46 p.m. EDT Dmitry made me some rice and beef (it was leftovers he warmed up), which was tasty. I couldn't eat much 'cause I haven't been eating much lately, but at least I'm not hungry and I won't be drinking wine on an empty stomach! Of course, it has to finish cooling first...

11:08PM Got home about 9:45PM. Had a busy day today. We went to pick Amy up and then went to the books store of course. WOOT! Got some great books at great values yet again. Had some dinner about 6:30, then had to do the grocery thing because we were almost out of everything, and just now realized we forgot the lettuce. Go figure :/ So gonna go mosey over to the What have you bought lately thread. Then I will read a little before retiring to bed.
Kathryn so sorry to hear that your grandma had a bad day. Hugs!

9:35AM So had a banana and some oatmeal for breakfast today. Hubby followed suit. Love when I can be a healthy influence. So now gonna do my 9 min mission and then have to run to the store to get the lettuce we forgot. Then gonna come home and read a little. After that I am gonna make a fruit sauce for crepes tomorrow morning. YUM.
Jordan, sorry you still don't feel good. Hope the new stuff can help out more. Sending healing hugs to you.
Kit, I can see why you would be mad. What the heck? So what do you do now?

Anyway, it's 1:17 p.m right now, just got done at the laundromat, and now I'm just chilling for a bit before me and the little guy go to the grocery store, post office, and gas station. I think I'm gonna have to look at the books at the store to perk me up, lol :)

@Victor; I finally picked up 172 Hours on the Moon; with the creepy cover.
I think these books will be perfect for Halloween!!

7:30 PM California time. Janie - Well, I am home now and look at my son's empty bed and feel very sad as you said. I am doing the same thing, crying in his room. But you are so right, this is getting us ready for his independence in the future. Agghhggh!
10:04PM well we had a pretty busy day today. After dinner we went to the trails and I ran, not very far because Hub's knees were hurting so he did not fun. I felt bad leaving him behind on the trail. LOL Either way the walk/run was relaxing. So now hub is in bed and I have been reading more of The Stand and really enjoying it. I would like to hit page 200 in this and maybe switch back to Game of Thrones or Overrun, an ebook I have on my Kindle App. We will see.
Kathryn, Mark ROCKS! How awesome that he got you 2 pairs of running shoes! That's great! Hope you enjoy many miles of running.
Martha, it will get easier I promise!

11:19 p.m. and I can't hold my eyes open, literally. Wanted to read but it's not gonna happen. Going to bed. Goodnight folks. Hopefully, I'll have some time after we get back from the museum to read.

Katy, I hope you are feeling better and you can enjoy your fried rice. I usually get Pork Fried rice and that reheats very well. It is almost better the second time so I hope yours is still good.

10:21AM Good Morning my GR friends. I have most of the day to read today, unless I get distracted with something. Hub and son both at work, Kay is still sleeping. She better get her fill of that because starting Monday, school comes.
I am looking forward to reading more of The Stand, and maybe I shall read more of A Game of Thrones. Would love to get these both done this month. LOL
Katy, hope you get to feeling better soon. I know it must suck for you.
Martha, I love wine myself and have to watch myself because I can end up drinking a lot of it too. LOL

Just got my 1yr old ready for his bed, and he's currently making a huge mess before he goes to bed at 7. I've been reading City of the Snakes all day and its really good, the final book in the City Trilogy, by Darren Shan :)

almost finished with The Passage; should finish tonight or tomorrow :D

Chris, I'm not a huge fan of pork, other than bacon. I don't do very well reheating it, but Dmitry is very good; I don't know how he does it, but he always manages to reheat it so that everything stays nice and moist and tasty. I'm still at the point where I should not be eating solid food, but am not sure what to do about it... *sigh*
2:51 p.m. EDT Finally gave up on sleeping about an hour ago, just been going through e-mail and incoming blogs and such, doing my normal "beginning of the day" stuff. This book I'm reading is crazy weird, I have no idea if it's adult or young adult or what the genre will end up being. But it's an interesting story so far :-)

6:30PM Just had dinner, (sorry Katy) I made Lemon Pepper Chicken, fried rice and fresh green beans. Then I am gonna do my work in about 15 min. After that gonna watch the Cowboy game. Have not watched any of the preseason games yet. I generally never do, I wait for regular season to start, but will watch with hub. After that is over I am gonna read some more. And just as I thought, I can't pull myself away from Overrun to read the other books. LOL
