2012 November Pick It For Me! Challenge

Sorry. :( I hated that I would always have to go in when I worked in the hospital. It sucks to be important. LOL

I worship my kindle! My Nook Color was really just for library ebooks but now that kindle is able to access them I don't use my Nook very much. The Color is heavy and the battery doesn't last long. I have the kindle keyboard and I prefer non- touch screen. But reading the Nook in the dark is very nice :)

LOL - Make sure all your key appliances are charged. Would be terrible to read a paperback! LOL...

What she said! :D
I've been watching the news and generally feeling very grateful that I live on the west coast. Here's hoping that the experts have overestimated this storm as badly as they have some around here in the past few years! Stay safe, warm, and dry!

I'm hoping that I found one you will like. If not, let me know and we'll be sure to remedy the situation.

4. I don't really know what a 'sweet' book is supposed to be. So I guess I'll just have to go with the most literal definition.

The only Susan Mallery you've seem to have read is a couple of the Fool's Gold series. They are good but try something else. Read the Bakery Sister's trilogy. It starts with

Enjoy and let us know what you pick.

I am in so much traffic! I am trying to do this in the car on my iPad. I made a list on my phone last night of what I wanted to recommend to you so now's a good time to give them to yo..."

1. Turkey: The meat of the meal, suggest books that are intense or emotional, something you can sink your teeth into.
On Your Shelves: Branded (Fall of Angels #1) - I found this book to be pretty intense and original
New To You: Fifty Shades Of Grey by E.L James - I noticed a love of certain books on your read and favorites list.. Read this just for Christian. That fictional man gives me shivers!
2. Mashed Potatoes: Fluffy and light, recommend books that are light or funny, a little bit of fluff for them to enjoy.
On Your Shelves: Smokin' Seventeen (Stephanie Plum, #17) Evanovich, Janet * - Have you read the first one "One For The Money"? If not I really recommend you start there. The whole enitre series is hilarious. <3 Ranger.
New To You: Blood Lite II: Overbite .. I didn't find this in your shelves but I found most of the dark stories very funny. Best one out of the entire book: Dick and Larry a shortfiction by D. L. Snell
3. Gravy: You know how you practically want to lick it off your plate? Yeah, like that. Choose books with yummy covers or yummy stories.
From Your shelves:
Obsidian by Jennifer L. Armentrout - I found the main character so hot, I couldn't wait to sink my teeth into the second book.
New To You : Gypsy Lord (Garrick #1)
by Kat Martin - This is an older book so I can change it but I noticed you have listed some of Kat Martin's books. This is my favorite of her books. Dark and sexy :D
4. Pumpkin Pie: The sweet finish, topped off with whipped cream! Suggest sweet books for your pickee, some that are like comfort food, feel good books that will leave them feeling good!
To Read List:
From Your shelves:
Romancing Mister Bridgerton (Bridgertons #4)
by Julia Quinn - A very sweet romance that I enjoyed.
New: Runaway Heart by Claudy Conn
This book was very cute. The romance between the characters was one of those fairy tale stories.

Thanks! This is my first challenge here :o. I am actually going to try and ready ALL of them.
Sherrilyn Kenyon is actually a favorite author of mine and I find it funny that I just picked up Dance with the Devil at a book fair this last weekend.
Bunny and the Bear by Eve Langlais sounds very funny. I can't pass up a werebunny :o

1. Turkey
Firefly Lane - i was a blubbering mess by the end of this book
Slave to Sensation - so the first book definately isn't the best in the series, but it grows..."
Thanks for the recs Dee, I will read Slave to Sensation and I am going to try and get my hands on Firefly Lane, sounds interesting.

Dee, I'm still going through your shelves. I'll try to have your recommendations up later tonight.

You have a very interesting bookshelf - your tastes seem eclectic and it reflects that perfectly! It was fun and I was awed by the number of books that I had no idea they existed! I've tried to recommend from different genres with a mix of books from your TBR and new-to-you books. If you don't like your picks, then let me know!
1. Turkey:
1. Mariana by Susanna Kearsley - This was the first Kearsley book that I fell in love with. The ending is a bit rushed but there a lot of points in the book where you just can't put it down.
2. The Way of Shadows by Brent Weeks - This is an amazing dark fantasy trilogy that you simply must try.
3. Cry No More by Linda Howard - It's one of the best works of LH.
2. Mashed Potatoes:
1. Sugar Daddy by Lisa Kleypas - I see you've enjoyed Kleypas's other trilogy. You've got to read these. They are the perfect fluff, actually.
2. Kiss an Angel by Susan Elizabeth Phillips
3. When You Reach Me by Rebecca Stead - I'm not sure if it's fluff though it might belong there. I'm also interested in buddy reading it :)
3. Gravy:
1. Magic Burns by Ilona Andrews - Okay, you've really got to continue this series. It's one of the best UF series out there.
2. The Thief by Megan Whalen Turner - I think this has to be one of the better beautiful YA fantasy out there. The writing is good but the second is even better if you ask me.
3. Lord of the Fading Lands by C.L. Wilson - Continuing on the yummy stories, this is another of the best Fantasy-Romance series out there. It's one of my all-time favorite series.
4. Something About You by Julie James - This will go on the yummy covers part. Yummy cover that reflects exactly how the book will be - funny and yummy :P
4. Pumpkin Pie:
1. Easy by Tammara Webber - One of my recent YA discoveries that I really liked. It's a very good comfort food.
2. Yours Until Dawn by Teresa Medeiros - This is the very definition of comfort food. A very feel-good historical-romance though the epilogue crossed the line into cheeeesyy.
3. Daughter of the Forest by Juliet Marillier - This was a last minute addition but it's a series I like to re-read often. To me, it's a comfort food-book.
I hope you like your picks, Sandy!

The Traditional Turkey Dinner
1. Turkey: Cuckoo by Julia Crouch this book is definitely intense, I found myself getting really involved in the story. Sarah's Key by Tatiana de Rosnay I wanted to find an emotional book that I thought you might like, this is set in the 2nd World War and I learnt more about the war from this book and it really tugged on my heartstrings.
2. Mashed Potatoes: Honey Moon by Susan Elizabeth Phillips You have read a lot by this author and this one wasn't on your shelf, sounds like a fun, easy read. The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman another easy read, I noticed you had read a couple books by Gaiman, I love how strange he is and this book is no exception.
3. Gravy: Tempted by Megan Hart another author you have read and this one definitely sounds like a yummy book! In Bed with a Highlander by Maya Banks I haven't read this one yet but it has a yummy cover and sounds like a yummy story, if you fancy reading this one I may be able to do a buddy read.
4. Pumpkin Pie:P.S. I Love You by Cecelia Ahern If you have seen this film then you will know it's a sad book but it has a lovely ending. Nice Girls Don't Have Fangs by Molly Harper Thought you might like to try a new series by this author as you have enjoyed the first 2 naked werewolf books, it has been put on the humor shelf by quite a few people too.
Hopefully there is something here you like, enjoy :)

Hope you like what I picked if not let me know and I will try again! Happy Reading!
