D.M. Andrews (author) Andrews (dmandrews) | 1551 comments though author central tends to be a bit behind the product page, so it may not be possible to attach it yet...

message 302: by Kath (new)

Kath Middleton | 23860 comments It's obvious from the product descripton that you are all authors. I don't think they can quibble. As to whether they'll bother...?

message 303: by Michael (new)

Michael Brookes (technohippy) I'll give it a try and see what happens.

message 304: by A.L. (new)

A.L. Butcher (alb2012) | 1608 comments Ok I tried, officially no unless you are one of the highlighted authors but I did email them as ask if it can be linked to the author pages. I will report back when they reply.

message 305: by Michael (new)

Michael Brookes (technohippy) And congratulations to everyone for putting this together.

message 306: by Kath (new)

Kath | 1233 comments i think it is probably more important that amazon concentrates on getting the book up for sale rather than tinkering with who it links to where. maybe leave bombarding them with that stuff until it has gone live!

message 307: by Jonathan (new)

Jonathan Hill | 1599 comments
Yup, just unclick or use the edit link. Others who've clicked it can unclick it and it will disappear."

So, do you mean I need to vote down the other jonathan hill product? I did and it sent it to the end of the list of jonathan hill tags, but it's still there?

message 308: by Kath (new)

Kath Middleton | 23860 comments And if they ever get the price up, someone might buy it!

Simon (Highwayman) (highwayman) | 4276 comments How many more sleeps before we can buy the book Ignite?

Simon (Highwayman) (highwayman) | 4276 comments Perhaps Amazon have run out of eInk so they can't publish it until a new tub load comes in.

message 311: by Kath (new)

Kath Middleton | 23860 comments Don't ask me Simon. Don't shoot the messenger! You'd think they'd be eager to take our money.

Simon (Highwayman) (highwayman) | 4276 comments I've been told the weather ruined the harvest this year. Maybe there is going to be a world shortage of eInk.

D.M. Andrews (author) Andrews (dmandrews) | 1551 comments You just need to remove your name from your list of tags on the Salmagundi product page - which you can do either by unclicking the tag or editing it (deleting it) via the edit link next to the tag box. Then anyone else who has clicked it will need to the same.

But then I won't be tagged at all on the book? Sorry if I'm being thick.

message 315: by A.L. (new)

A.L. Butcher (alb2012) | 1608 comments Thick is my job.

message 316: by Kath (new)

Kath Middleton | 23860 comments I think DM was answering Andy Barrett. But it's possible I'm being thick too!

message 317: by A.L. (last edited Oct 17, 2012 12:38PM) (new)

A.L. Butcher (alb2012) | 1608 comments Stupidity is catching;) I am supposed to be writing but I keep going and looking if the book is ready.

Simon (Highwayman) (highwayman) | 4276 comments I thought it was a case of "the more tags the better"

message 319: by Jonathan (new)

Jonathan Hill | 1599 comments Oh yes, DM answered my query then Andy Barrett's in the same post. I'm cracking up. Step away from the computer, Jonathan, just step away..

Jonathan Hill | 1599 comments Simon (Highwayman) wrote: "I thought it was a case of "the more tags the better""

It is - I think conversations were crossing!
Right, I have no more questions. I will link to the book from my blog tomorrow when I'm fresh. Phew, what a day!

D.M. Andrews (author) Andrews (dmandrews) | 1551 comments Now I'm confused ;)

Simon - my original point was that you can only add/agree 15 terms, so you'd waste a vote on an author name because you'd probably be the only person in such a category...thus "voting up" would serve no purpose.

Unless perhaps you have a very common name! Like Rosen Trevithick, or something like that ;)

message 322: by Kath (new)

Kath Middleton | 23860 comments I hope we're both on sale by then, Jonathan!

Jonathan Hill | 1599 comments Ignite wrote: "I hope we're both on sale by then, Jonathan!"

So do I!
There should be a degree course for all this tagging, liking, uploading business ;)
I think I'm OK now though. Just as long as no-one thinks I wrote the 1-star radio book!

Simon (Highwayman) (highwayman) | 4276 comments Ah yes I see your point about tags.

D.M. Andrews (author) Andrews (dmandrews) | 1551 comments You're putting yourself up for sale?

message 326: by Kath (new)

Kath Middleton | 23860 comments Any offers? And I won't accept foreign coins or washers!

message 327: by Kath (new)

Kath Middleton | 23860 comments Price has just gone up on dot com! May not be long!

D.M. Andrews (author) Andrews (dmandrews) | 1551 comments I thought the price had already gone up on .com

message 329: by Kath (new)

Kath Middleton | 23860 comments I only saw it half an hour ago.

message 330: by Kath (new)

Kath Middleton | 23860 comments I'm bailing out now - night night. Too late to promote it. I'll start in the morning with a nude vicar!

Simon (Highwayman) (highwayman) | 4276 comments Night Ignite. It was an entertaining evening :)

D.M. Andrews (author) Andrews (dmandrews) | 1551 comments I'm turning in, too. Will promote tomorrow (if it's ready)!

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments Ignite wrote: "I'm bailing out now - night night. Too late to promote it. I'll start in the morning with a nude vicar!"

Is it the same nude vicar as last time, or a new one. Do you have access to a supply of nude vicars?

message 334: by Emma (new)

Emma (emzibah) | 4125 comments It is now live!!! Yay :-D

Rosemary (grooving with the Picts) (nosemanny) | 8590 comments I have tweeted I've bought it. As I'm followed by about half a dozen people and a dog, it may not lead to a huge stampede to buy...

I can see a day ahead putting off real work whilst reading instead

message 336: by Andrew (new)

Andrew Lawston (andrewlawston) | 1774 comments I'm very disappointed that my name has been omitted from the alphabetical list of contributors on the product description. You'll all appreciate that I shan't be doing any promotion of the book whatsoever until this has been rectified.

message 337: by Michael (new)

Michael Brookes (technohippy) I've just bought my copy :-) I'll do some promotion later today.

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments Im sure the error will be fixed ss soon as possible Andrew

message 339: by Jonathan (new)

Jonathan Hill | 1599 comments Woohoo!
Just bought my copy!
Yes, I'm sure your name, Andrew, will be added as soon as someone sees the message.

Thanks for everyone's hard work in this project. I feel proud to be involved!

And just checked - Marc's book and my book now have prices, so we won't be requiring lunch today, Ignite.

Sorry Andrew - I counted and checked several times - I'm just an idiot! Will you still keep me? I've asked Darren to change it.

message 341: by Andrew (new)

Andrew Lawston (andrewlawston) | 1774 comments I can't pretend for a minute that I'm not very, very, very disappointed. I'm a low profile writer to the point of utter invisibility and I was really hoping that this project would give me some desperately needed exposure. Instead, my name's nowhere to be seen on the product page during the initial release. I will download the updated version later on, but I'd lay good odds no one else will bother.

Thank you for your PMs, though, and I look forward to this being rectified as soon as possible. For all the good it'll do.

message 342: by Patti (baconater) (new)

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments Andrew, I completely understand your disappointment and I'm also completely sure that Ignite is mortified by the error.

You going on a hunger strike to promote sales too Jonathan? ;-)

message 344: by Lexie (new)

Lexie Conyngham | 1297 comments Well done everyone! This looks brilliant! (just bought it and will promote it to the three people who occasionally glance at my blog - sadly no dog!).

D.D. Chant (DDChant) | 7663 comments Yay!!! It's here!!!

message 346: by D.D. Chant (new)

D.D. Chant (DDChant) | 7663 comments I've been meaning to ask: is there any way for us to get this on our goodreads author pages??? It might give it a little more exposure.

message 347: by Kath (new)

Kath Middleton | 23860 comments I think Alexandra has been checking - she's emailed. don't know if they've responded yet?

message 348: by Tim (new)

Tim | 8539 comments What about those of us that don't currently have an author profile?

message 349: by Kath (new)

Kath Middleton | 23860 comments You'll have to have a spectral one!

Of course ;)
Then I plan to scale the walls of Buckingham Palace later.
I'll give ASS a shout out too!
