message 152: by Kath (new)

Kath Middleton | 23860 comments I did spot that yesterday Jonathan. It's too expensive and not suficiently splendid though!

D.M. Andrews (author) Andrews (dmandrews) | 1551 comments Kenyan dial-up protocol?

message 154: by Jonathan (new)

Jonathan Hill | 1599 comments True, but at this rate our salad leaves will be turning brown and floppy :(

message 155: by Jonathan (new)

Jonathan Hill | 1599 comments Kick Damn Publishers to get a move on?

message 156: by Kath (new)

Kath Middleton | 23860 comments I can't bear a wilted salad!
Poor Maureen too. Think of the chaos she could cause in the departure lounge!

message 157: by Kath (new)

Kath Middleton | 23860 comments If yours goes live before the group book Jonathan, I'll spit out me dummy and have a tantrum!

message 158: by Jonathan (last edited Oct 17, 2012 04:12AM) (new)

Jonathan Hill | 1599 comments Or you could read it while you're waiting for the group book? *cheeky smile* ;)

message 159: by Kath (new)

Kath Middleton | 23860 comments I'm sure you know I'll be reading it - *indulgent grin*

Jonathan Hill | 1599 comments Ignite wrote: "I'm sure you know I'll be reading it - *indulgent grin*"

I never assume anything - just so grateful people read what I write! I am very excited about this one - it's the longest thing I've written yet and I can't wait to see people's reactions to Maureen's holiday!

message 161: by Kath (new)

Kath Middleton | 23860 comments Looks like you'll have to wait :(

message 162: by Jonathan (new)

Jonathan Hill | 1599 comments Yep, mind if I join you for some of your steak pie? :)

message 163: by Kath (new)

Kath Middleton | 23860 comments Grab a plate!

message 164: by Kath (new)

Kath | 1233 comments i feel like a six year old sat in the back of a car on a long tiring journey
"are we nearly there yet?"

message 165: by Kath (new)

Kath Middleton | 23860 comments So do I Kath. Daft thing is, I feel responsible! It's them!

message 166: by Marc (new)

Marc Nash (sulci) | 4313 comments I'll be sure to let you know if my new kindle upload started at about noon yesterday has finished before the group anthology too Ignite! ;-)

message 167: by Jonathan (new)

Jonathan Hill | 1599 comments Another one? Come and join us, Marc. And ask nicely for some pie!

message 168: by Kath (new)

Kath | 1233 comments of course you aren't - although feeling something and knowing something are not always the same...
i think by now we all know that amazon moves in mysterious and not always consistent ways! or if we didn't, we certainly do now!
*sigh*

Marc Nash (sulci) | 4313 comments Jonathan wrote: "Another one? Come and join us, Marc. And ask nicely for some pie!"

I'll happily join you but I'm not one for pie & pastries really!

message 170: by Jonathan (new)

Jonathan Hill | 1599 comments Ignite wrote: "So do I Kath. Daft thing is, I feel responsible! It's them!"

Nobody thinks you're responsible - it's just so frustrating. I wouldn't mind if there was a message put up saying there was a delay of approx x hours. Instead, we don't know what's going on.

message 171: by Kath (new)

Kath Middleton | 23860 comments Marc wrote: "Jonathan wrote: "Another one? Come and join us, Marc. And ask nicely for some pie!"

You can have the meat in the middle - Oh I spoil you lot!

message 172: by Kath (new)

Kath Middleton | 23860 comments At least I know there are a few of us in this together Jonathan. If I thought everything else was whistling through and our book was stuck it'd be more worrying. This is just frustrating.

message 173: by Jim (new)

Jim | 21809 comments Ignite wrote: "Sorry to tell you I am - more than twice! But you're a very polite boy!"

but he's still not the messiah

message 174: by Kath (new)

Kath Middleton | 23860 comments He's not naughty either - not like you! Oh, did I say that out loud?

message 175: by Jonathan (new)

Jonathan Hill | 1599 comments Still here waiting. Had dessert, had coffee, had after dinner mints. Now, WHERE ARE THESE BOOKS?!

message 176: by Kath (new)

Kath Middleton | 23860 comments I''ve been here a whole 24 hours longer than you Jonathan. I'm cross - and they won't like me when I'm angry!

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments Uh-oh! Ignite is starting to turn green and swell up!

message 178: by Kath (new)

Kath Middleton | 23860 comments That's my prize marrow you're looking at!

message 179: by Jonathan (new)

Jonathan Hill | 1599 comments The moral of this annoyance is:
'Never tell people your book will be out the following day. Wait till it's there in the store!'

Are we having marrow for lunch, tomorrow, if we're still waiting?

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments Ignite wrote: "That's my prize marrow you're looking at!"

I'm looking marrowly at it.

message 181: by Kath (new)

Kath Middleton | 23860 comments They can stuff it!
(The marrow)

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments I'm considering a marrow-boat holiday next year...

message 183: by Jonathan (new)

Jonathan Hill | 1599 comments I hate this sort of wordplay - or am I just being marrow-minded? ;)

message 184: by D.M. Andrews (author) (last edited Oct 17, 2012 07:58AM) (new)

message 185: by Jonathan (new)

Jonathan Hill | 1599 comments Haha,
I hope it's ready by next leek - OK, not so good!

message 186: by Kath (new)

Kath Middleton | 23860 comments Jonathan - you're pushing your luck with that one. I'd stop digging - the hole's getting quite deep already!

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments Ignite wrote: "Jonathan - you're pushing your luck with that one. I'd stop digging - the hole's getting quite deep already!"

All the better to plant vegetables in.

message 188: by Jonathan (new)

Jonathan Hill | 1599 comments Gingerlily, I was going to say that but I held back - it's just too...corny!

message 189: by Jonathan (new)

Jonathan Hill | 1599 comments OK, enough with the veg jokes.
C'est (mange)tout!

D.M. Andrews (author) Andrews (dmandrews) | 1551 comments Yes, let's put those to bed. They're not a patch on the old jokes...
