Calling Contributors to the second group book - Please read this!
Hi Alexandra. I still don't know when the book is going to be on Kindle but I think the cat is out of the bag so lets get promoting :http://www.splendid.org.uk
I haven't got a book or an amazon link or a pretty picture so I'm not quite sure how missing out on it is a bad thing...
Tim A wrote: "I haven't got a book or an amazon link or a pretty picture so I'm not quite sure how missing out on it is a bad thing..."That's okay Tim. It isn't compulsory :-)
i havent either tim, nor do i want my social network links on there and so i did think of running away from it altogether but i rethought and slung a very short "blurb" together and submitted it anyway! after all, even if my poems are pants, i am still quite proud of my meagre offerings !
The contributions by non authors are very much appreciated. I wouldn't want to lose sight of the fact this group is here for and because of book lovers.
I'm sure you'll be getting loads of compliments once the book has been published Kath.I'm pleased you're sharing your talent!
Simon, your's was okay. ;)
i wouldnt necessarily call it talent patti - i was thinking more along the lines of the semi-coherent ramblings of a mad woman!! ;)
I, too, am grateful for the non-authors on here. However, can they stop winning the Writing Contests coz it makes us "real" authors look bad... *grin*
Tim, just put your bio in then. We love to know who our mystery men and women are!Kath, you think your blurb is short - have you seen mine. It's almost eligible for a 6 word story!

Kath wrote: "Marc wrote: "worked for Anna Kavan... #justsayin"ooo she looks interesting!"

very succinct !
Any reviews yet? :)Also, who among the contributing authors are the best sellers - I'm thinking of mentioning a few names (maybe 3?) that would have the most pull for readers.
Well so far only Darren and I have seen it in its entirety. There were still 3 stories to come when I sent it to Patti. I could review it but then 'She would say that, wouldn't she?' would be the outcry. I could write a review later today and then give you some soundbites? Then when I really post the review they'll be there and it'll be true. Creative, not fibbing!
If you do, be very careful of spoilers, Ignite.I do wonder who our best sellers in the group are...
I recall a 100 000 download party for Rosen. I think. Was it 100 000? Included all her books and free downloads, of course.
We could ask all authors to use the new Author Rank tool for Kindle Books in their Author Central page ;)OK, so Rosen is one I can mention - who else?

chart, or court?
I could certainly believe he was up in some court or other (Old Bailey on charges of putting offensive - in several senses of the word - tall spiky buildings in the middle of Oxford for example...) ;)

Hahaha
Patti (Migrating Coconut) wrote: "You mean there aren't tall spiky buildings in the middle of Oxford???"There are, but not *offensive* ones...
At the bottom of the thread it says "you are following this discussion"But, y'know, sometimes I ain't following it at all...
i would be careful if you are using the rankings cos they are ONLY based on .COM figures and not .CO.UK
Depends on the month, one month UK is better then.com, but of course .com is a way bigger marketplace.
