It's 7:14 am and I'm checking my GR messages and watching LSU vs. Mississippi State and KSU vs. TCU.

That's okay. I probably would have, too.

~enjoying Autumn, while musing on the futility of war this Veteran's Day :(
I'm watching the Bears vs. Texans on Sunday Night Football, drinking some coffee and reading my GR notifications. I hope you're feeling better Kyle. :)
Ho-kay! That video fits right in with what I have been working on: a vampire working as a surgeon's mate in the Revolutionary War, fascinated with the gore of General Arnold's injured leg and longing to be the one to enjoy sawing it off himself. It's 10:25 p.m., and I'm wondering why this is by far the thread I visit most on this site. Guess I'm self-absorbed and short on time, and I also like to read what my friends are doing. I've just made more changes to the first 7 (single-spaced) pages of the short story about Luke when he was a surgeon's mate. It doesn't have a title yet; I keep coming up with more, but they are more clever than scary and none seems to quite fit the whole theme I'm putting together. I'm also still working on forming a single theme to strengthen the work, so that it's not just patchwork. I still have to figure out which battle Luke dies in so that he becomes an undead vampire instead of just a live one (my own definitions apply). Research, more research!
Before all that, I read homework and ate yummy stuffed mushrooms and jalepeno sourdough bread dipped in homemade guacamole. Now I'm thinking of getting some meat.
And happy birthday, Victor--if it still is your birthday where you are at!

I want to read that one, too!

@ Kathryn; It is really good so far; and very nostalgic for me. Mentioning of all the 80s music, styles, games... brings back a lot of nerdy memories....

Right now, though, my time is limited and I feel like I'm already part of more groups than I can properly handle. If you want to discuss my current "short" story further, you can message me. It helps me to talk about it sometimes.

I understand, as well, Robin, though I do think you'd make an excellent edition to Kyle's group.:)

I loved ReadyPlayerOne, Alondra! Absolutely great book! My high school days were back in the 80's and it brought back so much! I can't wait to read it again! :)
It's 5:17 PM and I'm cooking dinner and checking out GR because I haven't been online for a few days.
8:35pm ET. Stalking Kyle and just ran screaming... ;)...seriously, ready to read more Feast for Crows and snack on chips & salsa
It's 9:25 pm, and I'm lamenting the fact that I have bitten the inside of my cheek so many times that I now have a giant cheek-bump of doom that gets in the way every time I chew.
J.S. wrote: "It's 9:25 pm, and I'm lamenting the fact that I have bitten the inside of my cheek so many times that I now have a giant cheek-bump of doom that gets in the way every time I chew."I had that happen to me in college once...My mouth was so swollen for a few weeks. I realized at one point I was biting on it while I was sleeping, too. It was so painful. One of my professors noticed it because she saw my cheek was really swollen. There is something called Orbase-B I used to numb it and take away the pain. Its in the oral care or medicine section of the grocery store or Walmart. You might try some type of antiseptic mouth wash....as horribly painful as that sounds. Hope you feel better soon. Been there....It sucks.

Unfortunately, I do this all the time! Maybe I'll check out that Orabase stuff. And I agree, it does suck.

I really wish I could attend, J.S.... Do you know if you'll ever be near Washington state? The likelihood of that happening is probably slim to none, but I thought I'd ask..:)
