It's 4:40 p.m., and my GR messages are showing up again in my email. I have returned from my writing group, answered an email from my aunt, and am about to take a well-needed nap before a friend comes over at 6 to use my shower, dye her hair, and share PIZZA! I don't wanna read political info or do schoolwork!

No, I haven't! Am I too young at 27? LOL
10:21 pm. Just finished watching The Walking Dead - glad Lori is gone and made a marinade for tomorrow's dinner. I'm currently basking in the joy of the gift of a new book (The Casual Vacancy) before going to read The Twelve.

Why doesn't Michonne kick the governers butt, why must poor Rick suffer... i cried with him. I don't think she's dead, though.. undead?
2:18pm PST Checking GR, doing some laundry and starting dinner. Making beef stew to chase away my achy sniffilitis.

He brings to mind a politician and a televangelist preacher rolled in to one. Lori just brought too much drama to the show. It got to be like watching a soap opera with the occasional zombie wondering across the screen last season. This season is good so far.

7:15 PM CST, and I'm listening to some music, and talking with my cousin on messenger about Anne Rice books.
It's 11:15 am, I'm freezing, and I just uploaded my pics from a certain book signing from last night.https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?s...

But seriously, I had an awesome time!

Its 4:47 pm. Sorry I've been MIA. We were hit pretty hard by Hurricane Sandy and we were out of power from last monday morning till sunday nite. And now I'm sick from no heat for a week. :(At least I got some reading done, I guess. :\

I had to brag. It boosts my ego. :]
9:49pm ET. Drinking a semi-alcoholic drink. My first in about 2 weeks. I like wine with pasta; but tonight is stressful. Excited about starting A Feast for Crows.
It's 9:02 and I am reading my new e-book Anna and the French Kiss. It is super good and I'm not a very big romance guy, but this is definitely an exception!:D
It's 8:44 am. Surprised I'm up already after working a 15 hour day at the election yesterday. Not that good of a turn out here. We seemed to have a lot of people early voting though.

It's 10:29, and I just finished going over some old writings that I'm thinking to cypher for a short story to submit to an anthology. I picked out some ideas of what I wanted to use, added up the word count, and saw that it is within the requirements for the submission.J.S.: Congratulations on your book signing! I am so excited for you. Hope someday I will be doing that, too.
Kathy: I'm glad you got through the storm, and pray you get well soon.
Kyle: I have a bird named Angel and used to have one named Gabriel many years ago. My daughter had one named Waddles, because he waddled when he walked. She also used to have one named Casper, but he didn't live very long. Angel is a survivor. He had one toe bitten off by a pet rat, and two other toes atrophied, so now what was once his little back toe is a front toe, but he gets around very well. I need to clip his wings again.
Earlier today, I read more of Gilmore by the Sea, by Ed Cameron, an old friend from when I lived in Newport. I will be reviewing it for the Portland Book Review. I started to do homework today, but when I found out I have a lot more days than I thought before the next unit must be finished, I did other things. Got tired and had two naps today. Every time I take a nap, Angel screeches until I cover him up. I didn't uncover him after my second nap, so he's been covered up for a long time.
Kyle, TMI!10:08am Checking my email,Twitter and Goodreads with a coffee and getting ready to go to the kid's school for the Remembrance Day ceremony.
6:53pm ET. Time to go watch some Football!!! My baby (son) is playing tonight. Don't ask me which position, just know that it is offense... :O
Alondra, at first I didn't understand what you were saying because I took "baby" literally...Comes of being the youngest myself, I think. When my mother would introduce me as her "baby," it used to really bother me.It's 9:38, and I have just finished uploading my review of "Gilmore by the Sea." I'll have to put that book onto this site, I think. It does have an ISBN but it's kind of an independent project. If my review ends up on the website and not just in the print version, I'll supply a link for you. I gave it 3.5 stars out of 5. Now I'm eating green grapes, the only kind I like of those you get from stores. Only I didn't get them from a store; I got them from food share, along with a lot of other food today. I probably would have gotten more of what I like had I not been in the computer room too long and missed my name being called. I had gone into the computer room to research a short story because a man in the front room wouldn't stop talking and I couldn't concentrate on my school reading. People in the computer room talked, too, but for some reason they didn't bother me. Still, my refrigerator is full and I'm happy.
The short story is one I'm going to submit to an anthology of horror stories centering on war. One of my vampires has adventures in the American Revolution. I'm researching for historical accuracy, but I don't know how much I can pull off the level of frightening they want. I need money. This one pays in royalties, so I suspect income from it would take a while, but the due date is November 30, so I'm hustling on it. Also planning to get feedback on a poem for an issue of a magazine, due Dec. 1. Besides my greed--er, need--for money to get me through the next two winters and such, I could use more publishing experience. So I don't know whether I'll be working on the novel tomorrow or not. Priorities, you know!
