It's 4:46 p.m., and I'm hoping Kyle is feeling better, trying to reward myself for finishing a chapter in Chicago Manual of Style for my editing class, and not looking forward to reading the next chapter, which is thick. I am working on an attitude adjustment, going from envying you guys for having time to read novels and feeling out of place in this group, to feeling I belong because I'm learning how to improve on the novels of the future! I had an appointment with a publishing company yesterday that looks very promising. I'm still waiting to hear the results to the editing test I took, but I think I will be doing office work and probably some writing there, in any case. Looking forward to meeting fellow writers at a pre-NaNoWriMo get-together tomorrow, which is held after the play writing group in the morning and followed by meeting with the zine writer at the Independent Publishing Resource Center. I'm a busy lady! Need to decide what food to bring and whether to buy dinner if I'm hungry so I can travel lighter. Think I will have to. Oh, and I read everything in this thread up to here. *pats self on back* Not up on most anything else on the site, though.
Oh, hey. One of my friends is offering her book for free on Amazon on Sunday the 28th. It looks like a really good one. Night Sea Journey, A Tale of the Supernatural. I'm going to order it!

It's 3:54 CST here in St.Louis & I'm watching the Cowboys vs. NY Giants on TV and reading my GR notifications. I hope everyone is safe on the East coast and having a blessed day. :)

It is 5:06 PM and I am finally off of work today with tomorrow being my day off. WoooHooo!!!
It's 3:46 p.m. here, and I was trying to do something interesting to report, but I chickened out of ordering the free Amazon book because I could only get it with a trial membership of Amazon Prime. I don't trust companies when they do stuff like that, especially when they have my bank card number. So I just posted on my vampires group in the thread, "What kind of vampire would you write about?" This is after having had my substitute mommy make some wonderful pizza for lunch and bugging her as she tried to take a nap. Now it's my shift for the nap, since I was awake past 2:30 a.m. and got up at 7:18. I am also drinking water. Woopee!
It's 10:52 pm and I have Gangnam Style stuck in my head. It won't leave.
Gangnam Style? Am I supposed to know what that is? It's 10:54, and I am contemplating my full stomach and rather dry mouth and whether to drink more water or not. Just finished reading another chunk of Chicago Manual of Style (oh joy!) and eating the rest of the pizza with some carrots that I burned a bit on the bottom. Such an exciting life!
And it's so easy to post here, it's the thread I frequent most on the whole site.

It is 10/27 and I am trying to catch up on all I have missed lately on good reads..been awful busy and trying to find time just for myself is hard sometimes. I currently started reading 11/22/63 by Stephen King, I have been looking forward to this book for awhile. From the size of it is a great undertaking.

8:15pm ET. Completed my overall Goodreads reading challenge with 55 books; finished eating some leftover chili and reading A Feast for Crows :)
It's 7.35pm here in West Aust. I am typing one-handed because a bee stung the finger on my other hand and I have an ice-pack on it. Don't know how we survived bee stings as children. It was so painful.
It's 2:07 pm here. Eating candy corn getting ready to go the chiropractor. Happy Halloween everyone!!

It's 9:42 pm and I just finished a healthy dinner of Pringles and Mike & Ikes. Getting ready to go to bed and read The Twelve.@ Holly - enjoy 1Q84! I've been wanting to read that.
It's 10:44 pm and we're watching A Haunting. I love these shows so much.
It's 3:10am and I'm writing this note on GR. I pray that everyone is safe from the storm and I'm praying for all of the victims of the storm. I've also just downloaded The Prison Diary by Jeffery Archer onto my Kindle Fire and I'm listening to it as I'm typing this message. :)
It's 8.16 pm and I am playing around on the internet instead of editing.
It's 8:05 a.m. and time to get up, but I have been up since 4 or 5. Have just filled in some details, and taken out some unnecessary drivel, from a chapter of my novel. I had some potato salad but am still hungry. My writers' group is eating after 10 a.m., but I'm hungry NOW! Last night I started reading Gilmore by the Sea, (not listed on this site), by my old friend Ed Cameron. I will do a review of this book for Portland Book Review in exchange for the free book, but since Ed sent me a free signed edition, I now have two! I am thinking of giving the extra to my brother for Christmas, since he lives in the city in which it all takes place and he has liked graphic novels in the past. (This one calls itself a graphic novel, but it is really a combination of graphic and straight novel; the two parallel each other.) Today, I set aside the book to read voting info. Fun! Not. Politics disgust me.
Also, for some reason I no longer am getting emails from Goodreads.

6:05pm ET. Great full week at my new job. Learned a lot, with still a lot more to go. Received 4 books in the mail with another on the way; gotta love Amazon. Right now, just basking in the glow of messing around on GoodReads for the next 30 minutes or so... :O
..also about to eat dinner... FFOOO-OOOOODDDDD
3:56 I'm making pasta for dinner, and reading. Having a quiet day.
