Dean was so loyal -he made her a car for pete's sake! He went to the horrible Chiltern Dance where that other guy tried to fight him...he sat through Pippi Longstocking repeatedly-he was a lovely person and so heartbroken by Rory.

I've seen Matt Czuchry on Veronica Mars and Friday Night Lights, but you can check out imdb.com to see everything he's appeared in, if you're interested. I wasn't really a Logan fan myself (I prefer Jess later on in the series), but I now have a hard time seeing Matt as someone other than Logan.

Dean was just plain ickola!
Jess was a bad boy!
I think Rory could've done better!

But I do know that there were plans for Logan to appear in the final season that wasn't, so he would have turned up again.

But they weren't the man. Rory has too much to learn before find him.

And yes, Dean was dumb. but also sweet. Jess was smart, but also psycho. Logan was smart and sweet without being psycho. Plus, as much as the Girls try to escape it, I think class is a factor as well. I'd be interested to hear how others feel about that aspect of the relationships.

In Stars Hallow, they live a middle / upper middle class lifestyle, but they always have that tie to the upper class Gilmore grandparents to fall back on if they need to, whether they choose to acknowledge it or not. That alone would indicate privileges that set them above typical middle class families. In some ways they're just pretending to be less than they could be. And in doing so, in 'stooping', they supposedly tarnish their upper class standings (according to Logan's family), leaving them in some kind of class limbo.

And yes, Dean was dumb. but also sweet. Jess was smart, but also psycho. -- Well said, Heather. Sometimes I feel Dean gets bashed too much that people forget how sweet he treated Rory (and I do think Rory didn't treat the poor guy the way he deserved).
And nice comments on the class issues, guys.

Totally Jess. What a hottie!! Most my friends agree a that the bad boy image was hot and that there is still a hint of it, in his new, book writing educated life! Out of the three Logan is too self centered and thats not Rory. Dean is way to, stay in one place and make me dinner. Jess is crazy, and cool, and reads just as much as Rory, and well he is just Jess!

For all of you that voted for the "new" Jess, don't you think that would be doomed? So much of what made Jess, well, JESS was that bad-boy side. You take that away and he's rather dull, actually. Sure, he reads and writes, but I think he'd loose his attraction pretty quickly because it was his fire that intrigued and drew her. I'm just saying. Of course, it's been a while since I watch it so I should get back to it.
Heather, I REALLY agree that class is a big factor. Especially once she'd finished college... she'd lived in that privileged world for quite some time, and that coupled with her intellect I think sets her far away from Dean or Jess by that time.
As for Logan, boy-oh-boy you gals are rough on him! I'm with Heather (again) in that if I had to pick one of those three guys (which I wouldn't), that it would be him because in so many ways they helped each other grow - and grow up - and in doing so, showed that they could make it through the storms as well as the lovely days.
The thing about Logan is, I get it. I get why it was an all-or-nothing thing. I'm sad about it because Rory needed time to go do her thing - live her dreams - and go to Fez and all that, but I really, really get it. When your love, feelings, passions, emotions are so strong that you want to commit your life to someone, if they aren't ready... you can't maintain something lesser because every day you'd be dying inside from the lack. Am I making sense?

Oh, and Sarah, killing me with this one:
OK, I think there might be something seriously wrong with me, because I just realized that if I went to Rory's fictitious Yale, I would have totally been crushing on Colin and Finn. Especially which ever one has the accent.
Killing me because as soon as you said it, I was like "Oh my God - ME TOO!!!"
Oh, and I LOVE how Logan called her "Ace." It SO worked that it annoyed her at first, but then became such an endearing nickname. I had that with my bro. Except it wasn't quite such a flattering name. We still call each other "Hoser." ;D

If Logan is self centered, what is Jess? I agree with Robbie that Jess had great chemistry with Rory before they were together, but once they were a couple, he seemed like the worst, whiniest boyfriend ever, IMHO. sullen, uncommunicative, pushy, and disappearing without any notice whatsoever.

I think that after season 4, Rory changed quite a bit (and for the worse, in my opinion). I guess post-season 4, Logan is a good choice for her, but I have always believed in the Rory of seasons 2 and 3. So I guess I'm partial to Jess because my mind is stuck in that time period of the show. :-)

I totally agree. In fact, instead of my lame-o answer earlier, I should have just posted "what Marisa will post in the future." :D

Aside from what I said before, I can't really explain why I love Jess so much. Just watching the show and seeing Jess and Rory connect says it all better than I can. Subtle things, like the way they look at each other...heart-melting, for sure.

Team Jess.
There is no doubt in my mind.

Currently the episodes are the ones from season one, and right now Tristan (Chad Michael Murray) is on there, and is it just me or is Tristan how you imagine Logan to be at that age?

Although, I do like the idea of the grown up Jess that we met in Season 6.

Oh and I agree about Tristan being like a younger Logan.

Response to message 25 - I think you were talking about Logan, not Jess... but that was not an "almost date rape" (they were just hanging out - Rory wasn't upset or in danger at any time), she didn't quit school to live with Logan - she quit school and lived with her grandparents in Hartford and do her own thing, and I'm not even sure what that third reference is about...
