I've been trying to think of names, but all that sticks in my head at the moment is Monty Python's Search for the Holy Grail-The Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch:

It is funny....last time we just called our selves "Team 2"....lol And we spelled our own name wrong: "Viscious Vixens" or some foolishness like that.
We were thick vixens rather than mean and angry vixens! LOL

Hello Team - sorry I'm late checking in. Back to School night was tonight. My 4th child - senior in h.s. Boo hoo!!!I like anything Monty Python, but I'm good with anything. I am terrible at coming up with names. And Katya, I cracked up every time I saw "viscuous vixens". I thought that was so funny.
I love this game and am excited to play another round. Does it start tomorrow?
This is my first time participating, so if I do anything wrong, feel free to let me know.As far as names, maybe Bookalicious? Booknerds?

Hi. I am excited to play this round. I love to read so finding the items shouldn't be too hard. The difficulty comes in only being able to claim one from each set per book since you are never sure what might come up in the next book.I am really bad at coming up with creative names, but I do like 3rd Team's the Charm. It is the 3rd Round and we are on team three, so we should be the winners.
I also don't think I will have time to be the captain. I am a captain for another team challenge and I am participating in a lot of other challenges for several groups. I am amazed at how much Dawn can get done. I see her involved in many of the same groups I am part of.
I have to go play this game now....lolI think it starts the 31st of August...he harassed Dawn into setting up teams so we could get started with the prep work.
I think the key to winning is communication with one another. I asked to be everyone's friend and you can send me a message any time.
We need to check in....nothing more frustrating for your team members than you falling off the face of the earth.
Also, you want to read books that get the maximum amount of points and if you have a choice pick the hardest items first.

Okay, so my understanding is that Dawn will choose an item, and we have to read a book with that item in it or on the cover? And I can find a book with multiple items from the list? That way if Dawn calls an item I've already claimed, I don't have to read a book for that one? Am I understanding correctly?

I will post an item. You will have to read a book with that item on the cover, in the tittle or written anywhere in the book. You can find 1 item from the 3 other catagories.
You don't HAVE to read another book but that will hurt your team... and then they might hurt you. You won't get credit for that same item again, but you can claim 3 extras that you didn't already have.
Okay, got it. And once we've all claimed all the items, game over?

I'm here and I posted in #21 and then had to go check my other challenges. I don't care what you want to call me, my real name is Kirsten if that helps as well. I collect all sorts of things with turtles so when I was thinking of a unique username that is what I came up with.
I am also hoping that this game will give me new ideas for books to read. I love seeing what other people read and getting recommendations. However, my TBR list is starting to fill up my three ring binder already. I work in a library and can usually find any book I want to read somehow.I also have to get off the computer now. I will check in again tomorrow or maybe even on my phone later tonight.

I vote for either Katya or Alana as Team captains. I love that we have first and second place winners from the last game on our team!And I agree about communication being key. I am not working at the moment and am on the computer alot, so I check in pretty frequently.
Also, I read my books as ebooks (I have a nook and Kindle)which gives me a search function. If people are reading something I have, I can do a search for items if anyone needs it.
So excited for this to start.
Well I wasn't able to come up with any more snazzy name ideas... been writing alot of blog articles lately, I think it sucked out my creative juices temporarily.Wait... one more

I was captain last time and thought it would be nice to not be captain...but what our team did was had co-captains that worked...Maybe Alana would like to do it or one of the new gals?If you folks really don't want to do it...I can do it but would rather you try....at the very least co-caps.
I was Capt for Round 2 Team 4... it really doesn't matter to me. If someone else wants to do it, great. If not, I'll step up.

Sometimes people think that is what I am since I can read quickly and go through books very fast. I always have a book around and sneak in a few minutes of reading even while doing errands.
