Some teachers just have a way of sticking with us no matter how many years pass. Wish they were all like that!

Wow, Laura Lulu that's a LOT of books! It looks like a lot. It probably isn't more than I plan to read for next year. I have a bad habit of finding new series I just have to start... and then I forget about the ones I already started! I made myself add books from 3 series I have in progress to the Mount TBR challenge. So I know I will get 3 or more series finished by the end of 2011. Good luck with yours!
Vivian wrote: "Added one more series thanks to some pushy, I mean encouraging mods ;)"LOL! I added another one too. I have a bunch now. My goal (as you can see in my post) is to finish 3 or more this year and the rest next year. :)
It's only 60-some AV, it just looks like a lot. :) There were just so many series I heard great things about this year, but couldn't fit into my rigorous challenge schedule. So now I'll just use them to set up 2011's rigorous challenge schedule. ;)
LOL! *bowing* Yes, that'd be me *wicked grin* >:)Welcome, Laura! LOVE the list! I'll definitely be adding to mine in coming months.
Jackie M, hope you enjoy those, two of my faves.

Lets see how big of a whole I dig myself with my first in series books I read in 2011... :-P Never ending cycle... hehe. 60 isn't too bad. I read very slowly but have read more this past year than any previous years. Not 100+ which was my goal... but not too shabby either.
I found some I read as firsts and seconds this year that I want to read more of so they're here! I picked new series that I had read at most the first two books, or have only the newest published novel to catch up on.0/26 Completed

I'm in! I love reading the books in a series back to back, and I hate waiting for new ones to be released! I'll have to look through my to-reads and decide which ones to jump into in 2011. I'm sure one of them will be Richelle Mead's Dark Swan series
Jan 10th: So far this year I've read Rachel Vincent's Shifters series. Loved it!
Love it, I'm in!Rachel Vincent's Shifters Series:
and I need to jump on the Gena Showalter ban wagon, so:
and I am in the middle of Melissa Mayhue's "Daughters of the Glen" series:
My brain is too tired to think of the many others I want to tackle, so we'll see what Santa brings me!
Yay! Welcome, Amanda! I'm a big LOTU fan! Hope you enjoy that and Shifters. I haven't heard of Mayhue or that series. I'll have to check it out.
I can't wait for the next book: The Darkest Secret. #7 Amun's book in April. He's the Keeper of Secrets and "can manipulate the darkest thoughts of anyone nearby". Actually, we get TWO books in 2011 + #8 Strider's book in Oct. :D
I would like to join this challenge! :)Harry Potter Series
Georgina Kincaid series by Richelle Mead
Luxe series
Vampire Academy series
Mercedes Thompson series
And I think I'm going to try Black Dagger Botherhood series.I heard it was really good but I keep putting it off!

I'm also going to read the "accidental" series by Dakota Cassidy- got it for Christmas! :)
Welcome, Megan! I really like that series. Looking forward to Accidentally Catty in 2011. I could do without all the color-wheel
FINISHED!!! 4/29I listened to them all on Playaway.

1.
2.
3.
4.
5.
Welcome, Kristen. I'm looking forward to starting Kitty and many members love Dresden. I just haven't gotten to him yet. :)
Since there are some series I'll be starting with, I'll join the challenge! Here I go...Mercedes Thompson by Patricia Briggs 6/6
Georgina Kincaid by Richelle Mead 4/6
A Song of Ice and Fire by
George R.R. Martin 0/7
The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins 1/3
I am reading
now and
next. That should put a dent in the series and be a good way to start a new year. I will probably pass my goal of 3 series this year. I plan to read Hunger Games, Harry Potter and Percy Jackson for sure. Probably Narnia too. I am already almost half done with Narnia. Poor, poor LOTR keeps being pushed to a back burner. Why oh why haven't I read them yet?

Oh...I love to see some of my faves on your lists!!!! CyberAlmu, Mercy's series is one I have loved for years--hope you enjoy it!
Mercy, Georgina, Glass...and several I'm also diving into this year....such fun reading!
Awesomevegan wrote: "I am reading

Welcome, CyberAlmu & Miss Sandra Dee! :D
You've both got some great series on your lists. Sandra, I'll be interested to hear what you think of Rhyannon's series. I have some of those and haven't started.
Will do Steph. I picked up the first 4 on ebay last year thinking all thouse Es would be good for challenges and haven't used a one yet. LOL.
I will let you know how it goes, Steph. The concept is interesting. I like those sci-fi dystopic "lets make the world better" (but really mess stuff up) kinda books. Things with genetic modifications, arranged marriages and alternate societies are fascinating to me. I read them every once in a while though. I put the YA PNRs in between :)
CyberAlmu, great series on your list. GRRM & Hunger Games are 2 of my all time faves. And yay Sandra! I can't believe you haven't read Kate yet. My fave UF series. And the Cassie Palmers are awesome too. It has been waaaaay too long waiting for the next book to come out. I am suffering from Pritkin withdrawl.
Bah! I cannot wait for Hunt the Moon!!! 5 months until the postman slips that parcel through the letterbox (fingers crossed) - not that I'm counting or anything... ;) Man! I am so excited, it is my favourite series so I really hope you enjoy it! It is also one that I love to re-read. Kate's also awesome, I'm so jealous that you haven't read them yet!
Josie wrote: "I'm so jealous that you haven't read them yet! "Exactly. :)
I am soooo not a rereader, but I think I just might have to read the last Cassie again to get me in the right frame of mind for Hunt the Moon. Same for the last Fever book. Since I was crazy, want-to-whip-the-book-across-the-room at the end of that one, it might be a good idea to get back in that frame of mind, while having Shadowfever sitting next to me, waiting to be read. :)
Laura Lulu wrote: "And yay Sandra! I can't believe you haven't read Kate yet. My fave UF series. And the Cassie Palmers are aweso..."Yes, I don't know why I haven't picked them up till now. But I've got all the books that are out so far, and pre-ordered the rest. So it'll be happening soon.
I may have to do some re-reading soon too. I cannot remember what happened last with Cassie and I think I've blocked Mac and her elf'n madness b/c I'm lackin' there too.
I just remember being so into the Cassie's when I read them back to back, and I was cuckoo crazy for the Fevers, but when they take so long between books, I forget why I loved them so much. I needs a refresher. :)
And the publishers should get them OUT sooner...I grit my teeth everytime I read on a favorite author's blog that "I'm done, it's in the publisher's hand...and will be in yours MANY MOONS IN THE FUTURE!"....grrrrrr....
