Sandra | 25910 comments Just logged in before my guests arrive for a bbq, and bummer!!! we won't win unless Twisted Tentacles fall over. They have a team member that has to read a couple of books.

For Shifters I'll read Master of Darkness (Mageverse, #9) by Angela Knight which is the last book in the Mageverse series.

Yeah, too bad they got their shift together and finished up the shelves they needed. And making headway on this one. My dog is also annoyed, since I wasted all that duct tape...

Deidre (AlaskaReader) | 267 comments Shelf: Shifters
book: Mortal Sins
rating: ****/5
date finished: 11/21/12

I have no idea why I stopped reading these after book 4. It was a mistake, I think this was better than the first four, but of course, I haven't read one since (gasp) 2008. This book had Rule and Lily in it (there are several different characters, not always in the same book.) They go to North Carolina to try for full custody of Rule's son.

The relationship between them, as I recall, had barely gotten started, although they were bound for life, you know how those weres do that (he's the were) but they developed their relationship and it was well written. I liked them both better than the other characters, so it was good they were in this book. I'm glad I have the next few books. I wish I'd kept the others, since I can't refresh my memory but oh well.

Anyway, everything is swell until Rule discovers (in his wolfie form), dead bodies, which Lily (former cop, now FBI magic lady) discovers death magic on. This book was pretty exciting, and I had to finish it. Can't wait for the rest now.

Sandra | 25910 comments Glad you liked it Deidre, I'm up to #4, and luckily for me I didn't find them till 2010 I think. Still, I must get back to them :)

Elishia Shelf: Shifters
Book: Heartless (The Parasol Protectorate, #4) by Gail Carriger
Rating: 4 ★★★★
Finished: 23/11/12
Review: I really enjoyed this one there were quite a few twists that I didn't see coming especially Professor Lyle. This one was also funny again unlike the last installment.
I felt really sorry for Biffy and Lord Akeldama I hope they can work out a way to be together (hopefully this will stop his terms of endearment they're really annoying sometimes).

Sandra | 25910 comments Well, Team #10 have posted their last review, Heather just needs to request the stamp for their win.

I'm being slow reading my book cause I don't want the series to end, still I'll finish it and post a review eventually :)

It's been lovely playing with you ladies, no dramas, good books mostly, lots of great reviews, and a growing tbr.

And a BIG thank you to Jackie, for being a great Captain!!!
