Rima Brusi es puertorriqueña. Es escritora, antropóloga y educadora, y autora de cuatro libros de crónica literaria y ensayo: Mi tecato favorito y otras crónicas (EEE, 2011), Entre la bicha y la pared (ICP, 2019), Fantasmas (EEE, 2019, Premio PEN Puerto Rico 2020) y Chulos de la pobreza (EEE, 2022). Su libro de memorias Phantoms será publicado por Arte Público Press en noviembre de 2026. Su trabajo aparece además en volúmenes editados, revistas académicas y medios diversos, incluyendo NPR, Univisión y The Nation, y es columnista en 80grados y Claridad. Es catedrática en la Facultad de Honores de Northern Arizona University y vive en Flagstaff con su esposo JL, con quien comparte vida, hijes, nietes, tres perros y e ...more
