I think the syntax works, and I like the metaphor. I think the sentence is not objectively "gibberish". It's not for everyone, but it is grammatical and internally consistent. I think this example is more about taste than about craft.
@Rima fair enough, it is all of course opinion. I just feel a sentence that uses three consecutive prepositions in three consecutive clauses loses the thread of subject-object relationship to the point of relative absurdity that I describe. If a preposition is meant to describe a relationship between parts of a sentence, this is a very entangled polyamorous relationship that is too complex for me to decipher.
