I am a femme dyke bravely claiming lesbrarian status despite my only library work being volunteering.
Books, words and reading are all parts of my addiction special interest. I would honestly rather pass my time reading a bad book than not reading at all.
I do not generally pay for books; I own library cards for two different areas and I am in an ENM relationship with the Internet Archive. Gift vouchers and second-hand shops make up the difference. I find consumerism outside of genuine book collecting baffling.
Recently, I've been reaching more for lit-fic and (modern) classics because that is what most of my TBR is made up of and I'm trying to make a dent in it. I also find myself more passionate about writing now than I have ever been before (which is saying something, considering I've been writing fiction on-and-off ever since I was physically able to). I appreciate books more every year, but also become harsher on them.
I proofread my reviews until my eyes bleed, but I can't always fix everything, so if you do spot a grammar mistake, I would greatly appreciate having it politely pointed out in the comments.
My ratings are based on personal enjoyment and I write reviews for fun, not to be some pretentious critic. Sincerest apologies if I obliterated your favourite book. Do take my older reviews with a pinch of salt; we were all thirteen once!
