This is a personal favorite, but really pretty much any Poirot is a good one. Her Marple series is also good.

Their books have it all. Mystery to solve, macro and micro plots, great characters with strong development, family and found family elements, humor, action, romance This series is a bit heavier on the romance, but they also have the Kate Daniels series which is heavier on the action/mystery side. The Inn Keeper Chronicles series is a SciFi version of their excellent writing.

Great author. This series is YA. She has another couple that are YA paranormal /fantasy. She also has several really great UF series. Guild Codex series and its spin-off are both excellent.

These are great fun. Snarky Sherlock Holmes type partners with Ramboesque former Army ranger to solve mysteries. Mayhem and hilarity ensue. Randy Wayne White's Doc Ford series is good too though it can get a little more graphic with the violence. Robert B Parker's Spencer series is good too though some of the references may be dated.

This is like an encouraging book, a short quote with a paragraph of explanation. Not so heavy but inspirational
