I don't read very many sci-fi books, but I try to read one or two a year just to mix things up. This is a perfect book for "non sci-fi" readers. No fighting worlds or spaceships here! Technically it's a dystopian novel, but that's almost secondary to the amazing cast of characters and the way the plot lines interconnect. Highly recommended.
