There should be romance or at least, something close to it. Human haunting is what I prefer. Historical or contemporary setting. Erotic intensity and bit of mystery is also fine as long as there is a ghost.

Some random facts about me:
~I'm an only daughter.
~I'm a Thyroid Cancer (ThyCa) survivor. Had a total thyroidectomy back in 2004.
~I hold a BA and an MA degree with a major in English Literature.
~I love to sing too and listen to music when I'm not reading or working. I can memorize a song, with music & lyrics if I really love it. It comes handy when I'm bored. Just hope I don't scare people away! :D
~I've a whole bunch of Romance pet peeves; first & foremost is cheating. Second, hero's OW (other women), like avoiding any type of scenes between them. Also have an aversion to 'overused' H and h and TSTL people in any book.
