Born in Nalanda, the Author grew up listening to stories of the great and renowned University, about how it housed such a vast amount of books that it burned for months. As a kid, the act of burning a library made no sense to him. Then years later, he got to reading books like 'The Book Thief' and 'Fahrenheit 451'. Facts and fiction, the gruesome past and the dystopian future, all taught him the same lesson. The aim of burning a book is to suppress a thriving culture and kill free thought. An MBA Graduate from Indian Institute of Foreign Trade, Delhi, and a corporate employee for five years, the Author finds in Writing, a sense of freedom that is provided by nothing else and this book is a celebration of that freedom. Being a little old-fashioned and harbouring a desire to let his work speak for itself, the Author has chosen to write under the pen name: M. R. Maiti.
