The MC is married but there is no romance, the main relationship (as in non-romantic) is between her and her white, slave-owning ancestor.

It has a few main characters of various genders but the main time traveler is a great female character, I like her storyline better than what's going on in the future and she is awesomely drawn, very realistic. She is a historian who prepares to go back in time to the 1300s. But when she gets there realizes she may be over her head. She's not an action hero but very human with faults but also stubborn as hell, one of my favorite female characters.

Romance as a very small subplot in this lesbian cyberpunk novel. There is a mystery and lots of hacking, with a great plot. The romance is really a sub-sub-plot.

Breq is an AI within a body whose gender we never find out. In the Radch language there are no gender so when she travels outside the Radch territory everyone is called a she. Leckie did a wonderful job creating a genderless character. No romance at all.

Last one I promise. Avice is awesome and even though she has a husband she kind of loses him about half-way through the book. He's there to do his plot part but there was no romance there. If I remember correctly she even married him because he was interesting and they never had sex because it wasn't that type of marriage. 95% of the plot is aliens and weird language drug and ambassadors and more aliens.
