Who is your favorite fictional couple, and why?

Leta P. Hawk Oh my goodness, just one? Let's see, I always loved Rhett and Scarlett from "Gone With the Wind." They were both passionate, fiery-tempered, and unconventional, and I thought they went well together. Anne and Gilbert from "Anne of Green Gables" were always fun to read about; I loved the way their relationship developed. And finally, Laura and Almanzo from the "Little House" books. I just loved the way their relationship grew from noticing each other to walking home from church, to buggy rides and singing school, and I loved the understated way Almanzo proposed. I have to say, prefer the books' treatment of their growing love for each other over the TV version.
