Aric or Jack? Please no hate, just comment with your reason if you need to, please be kind :) Personally while I like both, I prefer Aric more <3 Although the ideal solution is for both of them to dump Evie and let her get a taste of her own medicine...jk XDD

Elizabeth Warren Jack. Now don't get me wrong, I don't hate her relationship with Aric, nor do I hate Aric as a character. But at this point I don't think it should be who she ends up with. Jack's character growth with her is phenomenal. He grew and changed and seeing him with Evie now versus back in Poison Princess makes my heart melt. He made mistakes, but he actively worked on himself and became a better person for her, when she wasn't even with him! Now, I don't fault Aric for his actions in Endless Knight. After everything he went though in past games it's understandable that he'd treat Evie the way he did, to self protect. The only are that makes me uncomfortable is how Stockholm syndrome-y her feelings came across to me as (and I don't EVER use that lightly) She was literally put into a situation where her only way to survive (if he had chosen to kill her as he kept telling her he would) was to try to seduce him, therefore creating an emotional connection with him. She literally called being with him at the end of Endless Knight penance. All she's ever made to feel is guilt over the past, something SHE never did, and should not have any bearing on her now. She isn't married to Death in this life. Like dude how would you feel if someone kidnapped you, threatened to kill you, then admitted you did all this horrible stuff to him in the past but you're really his wife and he wants you to accept him in that way now? Even if you have access to the memories, it wouldn't have been YOU. In any case, his character development with regards to how he treats her is so much more spotty for me. When she was mourning Jack, he was such an asshole to her. I understand him trying to protect his heart and keep himself safe from hoping for her, but relationships are give and take. He was just so selfish, all he cared about were his feelings. She shouldn't have had to feel the need to put her mental state on the back burner just to keep him. Jack fought for her, did everything he could to put her in the best situation he could. He would have raised the child as his own if push came to shove without a second thought. Aric may love Evie, but he has a hard time actually expressing it in a way that's fully believable.
Shirmeca I think Aric is the better choice for Evie. Jack, in my opinion doesn't allow her to do for herself. Aric knows to be capable and allows her to be so. I am not talking about carrying things for her like books or a backpacks, but I am talking about her ability to stand up for herself. To be the Empress or learn to be her instead of just a girl who can't and shouldn't take care of herself. I feel like Aric is willing to fight along side her where Jack wants to do the fighting for her.
Crystal Clear Honestly I'm hating Evie right now, I know how everyone can be happy all that needs to happen is Jack and Aric both killed Evie and then hooked up together cause Evie just needs to choose someone at this point like oml she's strung up these poor dudes and all I want is my lil cinnamon role Aric to be happy because he has already given up so much for her #JusticeForAric #TeamDeath
emmy and the book binges I'm split down the middle. I'd probably chose Aric at a push, but barely. I'm so split that I'm hoping we are going to end up in a three-way-relationship like Sol had.
Mcw Aric! Evie is a badass, she doesn't need someone to save her she needs someone to ride beside her through life not someone that makes her hide behind him.

Peyton Jack. Aric is an abuser and has been throughout the series. I don't hate him for it, I just think that it's not the basis of a good relationship. Jack, however, has been a perfect gentleman and has loved Evie unreservedly throughout the series.
Mackenzie Pearce Definitely Jack. Not only did Jack and Evie start out as a sort of enemies-to-lovers thing (which is my favourite), but their development as characters together!! Like oh my god. Jack and Evie are always learning from each other, even when they're not together. They better themselves to make this work, and, personally, I think it was clear to see that Evie just wasn't as happy with Aric as she was with Jack. Jack doesn't keep Evie confined, doesn't make her feel like she has to pay penance, and doesn't make her feel guilty for things the other Empresses did. It's not Evie's fault, and I really dislike that Aric puts that on her.
Also, can I just say this is like one of the only series with a love triangle where I've known 100% the whole time which team I was one???
Milena I was team Aric up until book 4 but I changed my mind after reading The Dark Calling. Jack was a much better match for Evie in that book. I fell more in love with Jack after reading The Dark Calling!
Robyn Aric! All the way! Just makes sense to me. I feel so much for him, being alone for hundreds of years through all those reincarnations never having love or touched by anyone. I'm hoping KC has a HEA for him!
Sue I'd go with jack. Remember Gram was very emphatic that 'All Arcana lie' back in Arcana rising.
Angel Aric, he just really deserves to be with Evie after literally centuries. Also, Jack is just a burden for Evie and is WAYYYYYYY to overprotective of her.
GoofyWalrus854 Aric. My heart breaks for him. He has spent so many years walking alone carrying the burden of killing anyone he touched, even if that person was undeserving or even loved by Aric. And the one person he could have a future with only sort to cause him pain over and over again. Evie is supposedly a reformed version of the Red Witch and yes maybe she has made some selfless choices which she other wise wouldn't have considered in previous games but stringing along two men is a crueler punishment than if she were to declare war on them. Aric deserves love, someone who cherishes him unconditionally. He deserves someone who can give him 100 % of their heart, not Evie's measly 50%.

Lisa I have always loved Jack. Aric has sort of grown on my but mostly because I feel sorry for him. Jack, to me, has always been the guy but now that she's pregnant with Aric's baby it looks like I'm doomed to be disappointed. I'm hoping for a parallel universe where Jack gets her!
Imagey Aric!!! But your idea of both of them to dump Evie and let her get a taste of her own medicine is very tempting.
Jenn Neither. The love triangle is one of the worst aspects of this series and has severely damaged or maybe even ruined all three characters. It's been obvious for ages that Evie will always choose Jack so to continue this ridiculousness till the very end just to get the shippers coming back is a bad choice.
Dominique Not gna lie initially, I wanted nothing to do with Aric, but after Endless Knight, I'm team Aric all the way. I felt like my heart broke for him when she chose Jack then she basically chose him because Jack 'died' and so he was basically second best. He's way too good for her I swear. Then in Dark Calling, I feel like because he was too perfect Kresley kind of ruined his relationship with Evie. But I don't like that whatever Jack does it's easily forgiven, but when Aric is basically mind-controlled after changing his century-old mindset for her, she can't forgive him like what???? Then because she's pregnant and Jack says he's leaving her it like she's 'forced' to stay with Aric when we all know she loves Jack best but just want to keep Aric around in case Jack bails or dies or whatever ugh. Hated that. I wanted her to choose Aric because she loves him like how she chose Jack, not out of obligation. I wish Aric would just leave her so she would know what she's missing. HE'S TOO GOOD FOR HER! Looking forward to the final book though #TeamAric
Rachelle Rachelle 1000000000% Jack. He understands the real Evie, not the Empress. I definitely like Aric and I feel bad for him but it's weird how he only sees her as the Empress and through the past games. I can understand how it would be very hard for him to separate them all, but he doesn't "get" Evie. Jack loves Evie, Aric loves the Empress and that she's the only one he can touch. Jack's character development is insane throughout the series and I just feel for him so much. He deserves to be with Evie more than Aric and I truly think that Evie loves Jack more. She chose him, not Aric and now she's kind of forced to be with him. Sorry not sorry, this is Jack and Evie's love story and a young woman's fight to remain who she truly is.
Sheila I think Jack and Evie make more sense. They mesh better and I love the way Jack is with her. That being said, Jack has said that he doesn't want to split Evie and Aric up which means the only way I see her and Jack being together is a death for Aric. Ugh! I can see why it's taking so long for the finale. How to resolve all this?
Amarenth 2 YEARS LATER.....(and after re-reading the whole series bc how long has it been?)
Between the two heroes, I am #TeamDeath and #JusticeforAric all the way.

HOWEVER......Dear Lord, Evie needs to suffer and stop being a bish. She deserves neither Jack or Aric. If I didn't feel for Aric so much (I'm a sucker for the dark tortured hero. I mean, Phantom of the Opera made me sob every time and I will hate Christine forever) then I would say that bish needs to end up alone. Now that would be real justice. You know what, imma change my mind : AricxJack for the win. And hopefully this book comes out before we all die of impatience or old age, whichever come firsts. Cuz I've been waiting for Munro's book and now silch update for this too? I'm losing my mind.
Jennifer Hart I've slowly come around to be team Jack. Very slowly! Didn't care for him at all in book 1 and Aric just captured me in book 2. But she's chosen Jack again and again. He's lied and kept things from her in the past, but he went all in in The Dark Calling. I can't see how her choice will change, especially since Jack has evolved to a point where he no longer wants her to choose.
Annie Jenkins I really hope she ends up with both; they're both willing to give way for the other, so sharing would be better than nothing, and bring balance back to Evie and the world.
Liz Pitcher Definitely both. The amicability between Eric and Jack the last book feels like the beginnings of a healthy polyamorous relationship.
Jessica She should be with Jack, until he dies. Then she can be with Aric because he'll still be alive. Then she can have both. Because I want both!
Shamali Team Aric all the way!! Although...Evie is just utterly exhausting, not sure if I'm doing him a favour.
Katie Kresley Cole had me torn throughout this series about Aric or Jack. They each have a strong case why they are the man for Evie and I think Kresley Cole wrote to perfection about how difficult the decision is. Evie's heart is divided. I know many readers are hating on Evie but I sympathise with her. Aric had finally had enough of his poisonous princess and treated her as such in this round of the game. Finally though, he had a pure of heart princess and is regretful that for once, they could have had an easy run of being together. Unfortunately, he treated her badly and she found comfort in Jack's sweet arms. As a result - her heart is torn. I am torn too.

Looking on the outside in, I'd say Aric - purely as he has waited many many many many years for this. However, I say this knowing that Evie is leaving part of her heart with Jack. With the number of books I've read whilst waiting for this final book to come out, my eyes have been opened to different types of relationships and put to Kresley that perhaps they engage in MMF relationship. Evie's heart can remain in tact, both guys get along and respect each other, and they can work out how to stop the game and live HEA.

One can dream, right? I don't envy Kresley but do applaud her for the very difficult decision she has put to both Evie and the readers. The fact that we are torn shows how complex she has created this love triangle.

Unlike other readers, I am not hating on Evie - I sympathise with her and am glad I'm not in her shoes.
Sequena Clarke Im Team Aric however I have nothing against Jack. I think at this point Evie will end up with both of them ...a reverse harem sort of deal...we been on this emotional rollercoaster with her swinging like a pendulum between these two so I think it just makes sense for them to be a truple... she clearly has feelings for them both and they live her two at this point 3 pol are better than two
Nicole Richardson Jack he has been there from the beginning and always thought they would end up together until Aric came along and that damn love triangle lol.
Sanam Team Aric. But I’d be happy with Jack toooo.
