He understands the real Evie, not the Empress. I definitely like Aric and I feel bad for him but it's weird how he only sees her as the Empress and through the past games. I can understand how it would be very hard for him to separate them all, but he doesn't "get" Evie. Jack loves Evie, Aric loves the Empress and that she's the only one he can touch. Jack's character development is insane throughout the series and I just feel for him so much. He deserves to be with Evie more than Aric and I truly think that Evie loves Jack more. She chose him, not Aric and now she's kind of forced to be with him. Sorry not sorry, this is Jack and Evie's love story and a young woman's fight to remain who she truly is. (less)
