Earthsea by Ursala K. Le Guin? It is a movie, however, it is a Japanese animated movie (anime) and I've watched it many times. Although it's not terrible, it is considered that studio's worst film so I wouldn't watch it if you read the book. It only follows the story from the third book I believe, and though it has stunning visuals, I believe it didn't tell the story well.
