I'm Mandi. All my life I told everyone that I would be a writer...I just didn't know what I was going to write about. Naturally, they told me to chase my dreams but didn't expect much. Well, here I am...31 years old and a writer. It took a lot for me to get where I am, but I don't regret any of it!

In addition to writing, I run an online store at mandismuses.net, a roleplaying website, and have just passed the criteria to achieve my 3rd Degree Wiccan Priestess certificate. Currently working on several romance book ideas at once... if only I could get them to sort themselves out. I don't know what is on the horizon for me, but you can bet I'll be embracing it with open arms!

There are times I've had to walk away for a month or two in order to come back with a clearer head. For Enthralled, Mirela and Dieri flat out refused to speak... unless I was listening to Fleetwood Mac. I learned to get the Ipod set up before I even opened the document, and get Stevie on repeat. Sometimes, we just have to let those ideas percolate a bit longer, that's all!(less)

Forget the time, forget worrying about what is proper and not. Don't weigh yourself down with negatives. Every bestseller started with a single word. Write one word, and then another. Keep going until you've poured your soul into those words. That's when you know you've created something that you can be proud of. Find like minded people. I joined http://www.literarysocial.com to post my work for critiques, and it's been helpful with forcing me to analyze what I'm doing with a more critical eye. Use a percentage calculator or some way to "track" yourself. It may not seem like much, but watching those numbers rise is such a huge motivation. (less)

Mandi’s Movie Madness- I Saw The Devil

I normally don��t watch foreign films in other languages, or ones that are dubbed with subtitles. I��m hearing impaired, but read lips well. When the lips and sound I can hear doesn��t match the subtitles or it��s not synced properly, it drives me mad because my limited senses can��t keep up to what I��m seeing/hearing and make it compute.
