This book had potential, but it left me just wanting more in a couple of areas.

First, i feel like the fantasy element wasn't well developed. it's hard to understand what a fury is or what powers they possess because the author never actually describes them. I'm left thinking of the golden compass as a guide for how to think of furies, but could be completely off.

Second, and this really made me mad, i felt like Amara was not well developed. she begins as a student so I'm assuming she's somewher
