I loved loved loved this book! The beginning was a bit confusing with all the gender pronouns, but reading it twice really cleared things up for me.
Strangest thing I found, was that despite all the female pronouns, I still sometimes defaulted to male. Ugh, years of reading male dominated SciFi have programmed me. But then I think that was part of the point of the book, to highlight this trend for male as default.
Bravo Ann Leckie! This book was long overdue!
