This is a story about Circe, the Witch of Aeaea. I loved how much effort the author put into weaving various tales of Circe and breathing new life into a relatively minor character in Greek mythology.
The theme of this book is perfectly summarized with the opening sentence:

3.5 stars. I really wanted to like this book and I’d say that the last 30% of the book was 4-4.5 stars but the rest was about a 3.
I don’t like DNFing books which is really the only thing that got me through the first 50% - it was sure hard to connect to any of the characters or care about any of the story. It felt like the author was trying to squeeze every possible Greek myth in there and it all felt a little forced.
