I enjoyed this book - I like portal fantasies and I liked the book within a book format. It was a quick read and reminded me of The Starless Sea by Erin Morgenstern.

Shelves: drama, fantasy, supernatural, best-ever

What an amazing, creative, magical adventure!! It was full of colorful visualization, in-depth characters, and storytelling that not only spanned generations, but it spanned worlds! I could imagine myself standing in front of the doors, each one descriptive and unique, and yes, I would definitely step through them!
