“As long as I'm with you, I know exactly who I am.”

What a fun, mystifying book. I didn't know much going in to it so I was a little surprised by the direction the story took. We do it all the time, don't we? Second guess a decision and look back on our lives and wonder what could have been if we'd made a different decision.

This book will have you thinking about those other routes and paths.
Although I'm not like most of them, I look around at my life daily and remember how lucky and amazing it i

very fast read, albeit uneven book. I really liked Jason1 and Daniela and the premise intrigued me but the last 3rd of the book left a lot to be desired. It felt, to me, as if all the pod people came out in the end taking what could have been a solid story and bringing into it a campy B-movie vibe. Overall, it was entertaining and light. Loved this book, although the ending wasn’t what I was expecting it made sense and perhaps a sequel. One of my favorite quotes from the book and there are many is this “I can’t help thinking that we’re more than the sum total of our choices, that all the paths we might have taken factor somehow into the math of our identity. Thank you Jody for the recommendation.

This was a lightning-fast and thoroughly enjoyable read. The story was fast-moving, action packed and touched on some interesting philosophical questions. The writing style felt at times like reading a screen-play with all of the sentence fragments he uses. Imagery was vivid and the story was tense and compelling. Although the plot was somewhat predictable in the beginning, it was increasingly shocking as it progressed. Thoroughly enjoyed and definitely recommend!
