What Members Thought

This book feels at the same time, usual territory and a revelious stand.
Like Jim butcher went "Oh! You think you know, after 10 books, what this is about? Oh, you poor lamb. You're in for a ride"
The stakes get higher and Harry does his most destructive best to keep afloat, but this time, the camp is sort of gone, and by the time all the dust settled I felt I had been gritting my teeth all the way.

I think this is just one of my favorite series of any genre. At book 11 many series, even the strong ones, start to fade but this keeps getting better. Other reviewers are more articulate than I and have outlined the strengths of this series. James Marsters' narration is excellent again and I believe when I catch up on new releases, I'm going to turn right around and listen from the beginning.

Wow, wow, wow! That was a crazy ride. It was a great book. Even though I figured out who the traitor was pretty quickly, there were still plenty of surprises left in store for me. One of the things I like best about the Dresden books is the supporting cast of characters who grow and change.

Wow, this was a doozy. So many twists I did not see coming. Poor Harry, so many heartbreaks at the end of this one. And I never would've thought this, but (view spoiler) .
Book 11 and this series is still going strong. I'm only sad because I'm almost caught up and will have to start waiting anxiously for the new releases! ...more
