What Members Thought

Enjoyed this next edition in the series. Was looking forward to how things turn out between Bria and Gin. The only negative is that the author tends to get very very repetitive in her descriptions. It's basically a cut-copy-paste of the intros from the first book but its way too long for the 4th book. So by the 4th book I was pretty much skipping the pre-read passages to get to the real story. The author needs to learn how to summarize better or bring about recall better instead of going into it

This has been another great instalment in the elemental assassin series. The main character is deeply engaging and likeable. Jennifer Estep delivers on all levels in this book. The action is heart stopping and the emotional journey of the heroine is well understood and still painful to read. One of the best things about this book is the romantic interest from Owen. This comes after judgement and condemnation from a detective in the previous novels, yet Owen accepts her for exactly who she is!

Okay, this will be a hard review for me. I think I'll sound a little like I have a split personality:)
Gin Blanco, aka the Spider, is continuing with her mission to exact revenge upon Mab Monroe for killing her older sister and mother 17 years earlier. She's slowly chipping away at Mab's empire and (for the first time ever) leaving her mark so that everyone knows it was her. Now, Mab has someone else working for her, a hired assassin out to get the Spider and Bria (Gin's long lost sister and the ...more

Gin can almost taste the vengeance she's been craving. Action-packed and bloody but with Gin showing a little bit more of her sensitive and vulnerable side. I can almost ignore Gin's internal repetitive musings..or maybe I'm getting used to it.

Hooray!! Another fantastic book in this series. I honestly can't say much without getting into spoilers, but let me sum up like this: it hit all the right notes.
Like all the best storytellers, Estep walks a careful line with this series. Reading it, you feel nervous that things are going to go in a direction that will be devastating. The fact that you believe it is a very real possibility, and the tension that lends to the story, makes for an excellent read. And thus far, I have no complaints. T ...more

The further I get into to this series the more I love it. Gin is an awesome kick ass heroine. Love her and Owen they are so good together. The evolving relationship with Bria is looking to build to something very interesting. Love all the secondary characters they are just as important to the story as Gin, each bringing something different to the table. Now I can't wait to read the confrontation between Gin and Mab. How she gets revenge for her killing her family.

These are fun assassin books

Noooo Ms. Estep you just lost your step. Really this had to much repetition, but I think I can forgive it this time. The leading lady kept getting sent back to the healer more than five times.
I suppose that's why the book was named Tangled Threads. I can say that this book was an improvement compared to the third book though.
Cheers Pretties!
