I loved this book!! I fell in love with Bowe in A Hunger Like No Other and since then I've wanted him to get his happy ending. I will admit that when we heard others speaking about his dead mate she didn't sound lije the best match for him.
Well this book did not disappoint! It was full of twists and turns, emotion, humor and more great characters!! It picks up where the last one left off and Bowe has to go rescue Mari from the cave he trapped her in so she can lift his curse or he'll die.

I really struggled with this book. In my opinion....and this is just my own personal taste here. If a book is supposed to be a romance, shouldn’t we want to root for a happily ever after for the couple?????
Individually I liked these two. Bowen was a little on the gruff side , but he was sexy and manly with an “old world” air about him that was wickedly appealing. Mariketa was a spunky, feisty ,hip young woman. She had a cool sense of humor and nifty powers. If this wasn’t a “singular romance” ...more

Such a fun read!
Loved Mari even though she did make Bowen's life a bit difficult (or maybe partly Becouse of it?). She was a great heroine. And at least in this one the hero had a legit reason for being so tortured and tragic, the force majeure kind.
Yeah, really enjoyed this one. I think KC does a real good job at writing flawed yet lovable characters in a not so (though fallowing the genre rules) PNR.
