This was a hard book to rate. The writing for this whole series is phenomenal, J.R.Ward has done an excellent job. But Phury's total drug addictive personality was just so unattractive that it was hard to like him let alone love him.

This is a long book and we learn lots of interesting stuff about Sanctuary & the Chosen and John Matthew, Blay & Qhuinn. The 3 friends even get to take part in the war, yeah, Wrath is getting desperate.

For me, this book was not the best in the series. I didn't feel a connection with the couple Phury and Cornia like I do the other couples. This book does have a lot of action to save the story! One of my favorite brother's returns! I also really loved the storyline with Lash, Qhuay, and John. Lash is a great enemy. ...more
