Nothing I write can encompass just how fun this book is to read!
The main character, Katniss, is so interesting and deep. We get to join in her exploration of herself and her inner feelings while we watch her fight for survival. The roller coaster ride is so intense...and it doesn't even end with the last page of this book! I am still reeling from the surprises that get piled on near the end of this book.
I am looking forward to reading the second book as soon as I acquire a copy. ...more

Have I been bitten by this book? Can someone give me a HELL YES! From the first glimpse of Katniss, I was hooked. Ensnared so tightly that I had no choice but to finish the book right now! No matter what. And then when I reached the part that said," Ladies and Gentlemen, let the Seventy-fourth Hunger Games begin" my heart raced all the way through.
This book was how can I say.....breath taking. I have not read a book that has "WOW"ed me. And this book did. They very thought of a game played so vi ...more

I won't write a summary for this book because there's a fine one under the book title but I will give my thoughts. I L O V E this book!!!!!
Katniss is such an independent girl and a great hero for the girls of Panem and her world. She is strong, courageous and loves her friends and family dearly. She starts the 'game' not expecting to come out alive but wants to do all she can to make it back to her sister Prim who sees Katniss as almost a mother figure.

This book would of gotten 5 stars but I struggled to get into it. I had read a good 30% of the book before I couldn't put it down.So for that reason I only thought it fair to have 4 stars.
This may have some tiny spoilers. It's a hard one to review without spoiling it.
I love the whole concept of the story. I guess a more brutal immoral for of Big Brother but with teenagers. Katniss is a great character but she bugged me when she didn't get Peeta's feelings.
I'm going to open the next book right n ...more

I thought that the book was actually really good. I am reviewing this a while after actually reading it, but I still remember it to be very very well written. I liked the whole idea of the hunger games. And the relationship between Katniss and Peeta.
like i said in my previous review i thought that Suzanne Collins did a very good job in writing this and the rest of the series.

Holy freaking cow! Everything you have heard about this book is true! That is pretty much all I have to say I guess . I have decided that YA is emotionally exhausting to read. And this book wore me out! (in a good way of course ) Can't wait to get the next one and I am sooooo torn between Peeta and Gale....
