Love this book so much!!! So much awesomeness!!! I love all of these characters, the plot, the romance-all of it!! It was a hell of a book!

OKAY, upon purchasing this book, I never really planned on reading it. I thought it was another Twilight, which sure I am a Twilight fan but not of the books. Just the movies. Shelves: vampires

Fun, kick-ass girl, intresting side characters, great world building. A bit lacking in story development and sometimes it almost seems as if Richelle Mead is afraid to branch out. She keeps the story firmly set on the characters lives when she could have created the start of an epic tale.

Don't get me wrong, the characters are great but all the world building and past structures and establishing of characters seems somehow pointless by the end since nothing really happens outside the immediate wo ...more

I liked this book, took a different angle yet still has a slight twilight edge to it. what i mean by that is charmed rich beautiful vamps. also in a hs of sorts. the main character rose is both strong and young and i like how she is still very flawed and vunerable. overall i like the strong female lead in this and this is mainly why i like this series so far, too often its always damsels completely in distres and granted there is demitri but rose is becoming a force of her own
