Love this book so much!!! So much awesomeness!!! I love all of these characters, the plot, the romance-all of it!! It was a hell of a book!

OKAY, upon purchasing this book, I never really planned on reading it. I thought it was another Twilight, which sure I am a Twilight fan but not of the books. Just the movies. Re-read 2025:

I've been wanting to re-read this book for forever and I finally listened to the audiobook from the library. It was still just as fun as the other times I've read it, even if I'm seeing this from a slightly different lens.

Richelle Mead's Vampire Academy was an enjoyable read and a promising start to her series. The book follows Rose who is in training to be a guardian for her best friend, Lissa. I loved how the friendship between these two young women is the focal point of the book as each needs to learn about themselves and their future role once they come of age.
